Biography

Lee Jae Yong is a Korean actor who came to his profession somewhat later in life. He was born in 1962 on March 21 in Chuncheon, Kangwon-do, South Korea. He did not begin acting until 1998, when he appeared in the film Dr.K. In 2001, he acted in his first television show role, on the show called Piano.

In 2006, he landed a role on the historic show Jumong, which would become a big success with viewers. In 2009, after a few smaller television roles, he got a relatively large part on the romantic show Swallow the Sun. The following year, 2010, was an excellent year for him. He had large parts in several different shows that would go on to become fan favorites. These shows included A Man Called God, Daemul, Sungkyunkwan Scandal and Athena: Goddess of War. He was also given the Top Excellence Award- Supporting Actor at the SBS Drama Awards for his role in Daemul.

In 2011 he took on large characters roles in the hit shows Tree with Deep Roots and Romance Town. In 2012, he took on the role of the father of one of the main characters on the dramatic new show Man of Equator.
