Biography

Actress and singer Lee Ji Eun was born May 16, 1993. She goes by the unique stage name of IU. It is a significant term that combines the words I and you. Ji Eun feels it symbolizes the special unity that music creates between the artist and the listener.

Many fans know the star from her work in the drama Dream High as a young student at Kirin Art High School trying to become a sensation in Kpop. Her character, Kim Pil Suk, only appears during season one. A brief cameo in season two brought closure for the character.

With a height of 5'4(162cm) and weight of 94 lbs.(43 kg), IU has become a popular model for several international fashion brands such as Guess. Her CDs are hits whenever they are released including the 2009 debut Growing Up. The zodiac sign for Ji Eun is Taurus while her Chinese year is Rooster. She is known to have an A blood type.
