Biography

Lee Soon Jae is a Korean actor who, over his long career, has played characters in more than 180 films and television shows. He was born on October 10, 1935, in Hoeryong, North Hamgyong. At the time, the town was part South Korea, but is now controlled by North Korea. His family moved to Seoul, South Korea when he was still young, which later gave him the opportunity to pursue a career in acting.

He first began acting in 1966. He appeared in the movie Terminal. Over the next few years, he took dozens of roles. In 1967 alone, he appeared in twenty-four productions. His career continued in this way for many years. He acted as both lead characters and supporting ones. He appeared in movies and shows such as Sahwasan Mountain, Story of the Youth, The Blues of Jong-ro, and Woman in the Fog.

More recently, he has been known for his success in modern roles. He acted in the film My Girl and I, which was based on a famous Japanese teen romance, in 2005. In 2006 he was one of the main players on the extremely popular comedy show High Kick Through the Roof. He also acted in fan favorite shows such as Yi San and Coffee House.
