Biography
Lee Yeon Hee is a Korean actress, model and singer. She was born on January 9, 1988, in Seoul, South Korea. She studied at the distinguished Bun Dang High School just outside of Seoul. After that, she received an acting degree from Chung Ang University, one of the most prestigious universities in Korea.
She signed to S.M. Entertainment in Korea when she was just 13 years old. This was after winning the talent agency's Best Youth contest. In 2005, she played a young Jung-Hwa on television in KBS's Emperor of the Sea. She also performed as Kang Sin-Young in KBS2's Rebirth. She gave her dramatic acting talents to MBC in 2006 for the HD-formatted television mini-series One Fine Day.
After playing the role of Kuk Yeong-Ran in 2008's East of Eden, she won several awards. The MBC Drama Awards named her Best New Actress, while the Korean Society of Cinematographers gave her their Rookie Actress Award. The 31st Golden Cinematography Awards also bestowed her with a Best New Actress title for her performance in M. She continues to act for television and film and appears in music videos. Her favorite hobbies are watching movies, reading, singing and listening to music.
