Biography

Eric Moon was born as Mun Chong Hyok in South Korea, but he spent most of his childhood and teenage years in California. After high school, he moved back to South Korea to work with a music label, and soon became a part of the boy group called Shinhwa. Eric is the lead rapper for the group. Although the band had its ups and downs, they are still together as of 2012, and have released ten full length albums in South Korea.

In addition to singing, Eric Moon has also had a strong career as an actor. He began acting in 2002, when his band was featured in a film called Emergency Act 19. After that, he continued to pursue an acting career, and he landed one of his first big acting roles two years later, on the television series Phoenix. He followed that role the next year with a part on another successful drama called Super Rookie. The show was popular with fans, boosting his already strong fan following.

Since Super Rookie, Eric Moon has acted in five other television shows and two more films. He has also made many appearances on variety shows. In addition, he continues to make music with his band.
