Biography

Moon Geun Young is a Korean Actress, Model. She was born on May 6th, 1987 in Gwangju, South Korea. She began Modeling when she was just twelve years old, in 1998. She was featured in several television commercials, soon became recognizable. In 1999, she began her acting career when she appeared in a documentary, had a small part on a television show.

In 2000, she got her biggest acting break when she was cast to play a part in the television series Autumn in My Heart. The show was wildly successful with viewers,, she soon had a large fan following. In 2003, Moon Geun Young had even more success when she starred in the frightening but very popular film called A Tale of Two Sisters.

In 2006, she began studying Korean Literature at the Sungkyunkwan University. This didn’t stop her from acting, however. She was featured in several television shows, films,, in 2008, was cast to play a part in The Painter of the Wind, a film that was very successful with audiences. As of 2012, she has made another film, called Cheongdamdong Alice. In addition, she is finishing her education,, also spends time doing charity work.
