Nam Gyu Ri is a Korean actress who began her performance career as a singer. She was born on April 26th, 1985 in Gwangju, South Korea. In 2006, she joined the girl musical group called SeeYa. With Gyu Ri, the band released four full length albums and an EP. Then, in 2009, she had a dispute with the group’s management. She decided that it would be better to leave the group and start out on her own.

In 2008, she appeared in a movie called Death Bell. She discovered that she enjoyed acting, so after she left SeeYa, she decided to pursue acting as her main career, although she still wanted to sing as a solo artist as well. In 2009, she made a short appearance in the movie More Than Blue, and made another cameo appearance in a film in 2011.

In 2010, she appeared on her first television show. The show was called Life Is Beautiful, and was both popular with fans but highly controversial, as it was one of the first Korean television series to deal with a gay lifestyle. The show helped to boost her popularity, however. She acted in two more television shows afterwards. Then, in 2012, she received a recurring role on the television series Haeundae Lovers.
