As the release of Heirs creeps closer and closer, what better way to wait around than to list everything we know about the drama? Let's take a look at all of the information we know so far!

1) Lee Min Ho

Do we have to explain this obvious first point? Our beloved Lee Min Ho makes this high school drama the most anticipated show of the year. Here, Min Ho will be playing Kim Tan, the arrogant and selfish heir of the Empire Group who is overshadowed by an older, more ambitious half-brother, Kim Won.

Wait, is this deja vu? No one can deny the striking similarities Heirs has with Boys Over Flowers--why do you excel at all the same old stereotypical roles Min Ho?

...Though who are we kidding, we love us some icy Lee Min Ho in a school uniform. Here is he with his Heirs script! Kyaaa~ it's really happening!

2) Min Ho is one of the oldest cast members on set and feels the pressure

Here's a translated excerpt from his Esquire interview:

3) Lee Min Ho is working hard for Heirs

On an 8/23 account of shooting, an insider writes:

"Filming has finally ended ~ Everyone feels tormented. In the beginning, most of the scenes were taken in one shot, however later on, even a luggage-pulling scene was filmed more than 20 times. Oppa looked tired but no matter how many times the director asked him to repeat, Minho smiled and accepted it. Also, he kept checking his performance through the monitor."

Aw, our perfect Oppa!

4) Park Shin Hye

This will be the first time Park Shin Hye and Lee Min Ho star together in a drama and the internet is buzzing with excitement! The young actress will be playing Cha Eun Sang, the daughter of the Empire Group's housekeeper.

Here she is with her script!

5) Krystal Jung

It's her first main-cast appearance in a drama! We're excited to see the f(x) starlet get her actin' on. Krystal will portray Lee Bo Na, the daughter of an entertainment executive (or banking conglomerate--there are variations) and long time admirer of Kim Tan. Here she is on set with her script.

6) Okay fine, I could go on forever with the cast but here's a list that will make our lives easier. It's filled to the brim with star power!

So far we have (prepare yourself, this is a long list) Lee Min Ho, Park Shin Hye, Kim Woo Bin, Kang Min Hyuk, Choi Jin Hyuk, Kang Ha Neul, Krystal, Park Hyung Sik, Choi Won Young, Yoon Son Ha, Im Joo Eun, Kim Ji Won, and Kim Sung Ryung. If you can't find someone you like out of that list, then there's no hope for you. While CNBLUE's Jung Yong Hwa was also cast originally, he unfortunately dropped out in the early stages.

7) There are going to be a LOT of relationships

Judging from the sheer amount of characters in the show, we can count on a ton of intertwining relationships -- both platonic and romantic. It has already been announced that Krystal's character, Lee Bo Na, is the ex of Lee Min Ho's character, Kim Tan, while Kang Min Hyuk's Chan Young tries to heal her heartbreak. Meanwhile, Choi Jin Hyuk will play Kim Won, Lee Min Ho's extremely capable and perfect older brother. Do I sense rivalry? Park Shin Hye's character, Cha Eun Sang, is said to be quite boyish, so it'll be interesting to see how she plays in with the other characters. Regardless, we can count on a lot of twisted relationships in this show.

8) Those relationships are going to produce many tropes

Looking into my crystal ball, I think we can expect the basics. Forbidden love between Kim Tan and Cha Eun Sang with a meddling mother and dictated fiance to get in the way. Maybe Cha Eun Sang's housekeeper mother will get threats to lose her job if she doesn't control her daughter. There will definitely be rivalry as well between 18 year old Kim Tan and his supposedly 31 year old half brother, Kim Won. Maybe Woo Bin's character will also engage in a rivalry with Kim Tan. Theirs could even extend to their companies--do I hear mergers or acquisitions? The internet is buzzing with rumors!

9) A trip to Russia?

According to a weibo user who is either an extra or member of the crew, the team employed a few pretty Russian models as extras. International intrigue!

10) Sweet cars will also be included

Onto the material additions! Check out this Maserati GranCabrio featured in the drama, valued at $150,000. Can you imagine Min Ho in this baby? Vroom vroom, swoon.

11) Amazing images

The crew will be using ultra-sophisticated filming gear like the shoulder-mounted camera below. As a member of the Heirs team tweeted: "Shooting equipment has transformed into advanced gadgets. So curious about what kind of equipment we’ll be using 5/10 years later (ㆆ~ㆆ) The filming crew for older dramas like Sandglass and Rustic Period must have been very impressive. ^^ It’s because of them that we can shoot such amazing images."

12) Speaking of fancy, the few leaked filming locations are awesome!

Check out the characters' homes:

13) Also Mango Six Dessert Cafe in Seoul

Shhh....here's a fancam capture of Park Shin Hye and CNBLUE's Kang Minhyuk filming at the cafe. Looks like she's playing a waiter there. Part time job perhaps? (Also isn't it cute they're working together again?)

14) California here we come!

Part of filming will be in California, USA and will include cities such as Los Angeles and Malibu. Both Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye will fly out early in the month of September for three weeks of filming.

malibu, california

15) And maybe even Hawaii!

An unconfirmed rumor says that the cast will visit the 50th state! Lee Min Ho wearing a lei please!

16) Lee Min Ho will be surfing

Here is photographic proof!

17) Which means there will be shirtless guys

Not to get too obvious, but hot guys + surfing + beaches = More eye candy than we've ever seen in a kdrama YAY.

18) The soundtrack is going to be amazing!

Fine, I haven't heard any music from the drama yet, but come on, half the cast are idols! With cast members affiliated with so many bands (including CNBLUE, ZE:A, f(x), and more) how could the music not be amazing?

19) More candy for your ears: we can understand some of it!

Meaning, there will be a lot of English speaking in the drama! Lee Min Ho has been reported to be training his English intensively as his character must be fluent! Add in f(x)'s Krystal who is already fluent and you can bet on hearing quite a bit of English.

20) Thanks to writer Kim Eun Sook

Who is Kim Eun Sook, you ask? Just the genius behind tons of hit dramas such as Secret Garden (2010) and A Gentleman's Dignity (2012). With that kind of pedigree, fans can rest easy in the knowledge that Heirs will live up to the hype surrounding it. Kim Eun Sook's dramas are known for drawing fans of every age, genders, and personalities, so you can bet this drama will have a big happy fanbase. Thanks Kim Eun Sook for writing in the USA, English, LMH, and surfing! We're in heaven!

21) The air date is October 9th, 2013

Heirs is set to start airing on the 9th of October on SBS. That seems far away, but it's closer than you think. The show is set to release episodes on Wednesday/Thursday and will have a twenty episode run. However, due to the anticipation that is already set for the show, there's a high possibility that we'll see an extension somewhere near the end!

22) This is the official logo! Cute, right?

23) Also to make everyone's lives simpler, we will be using just "HEIRS" for the drama

See all those little Korean letters there? It translates to some crazy lengths, with many different variations including:

The One Trying to Wear the Crown, Withstand the Weight – The Heirs
He Who Wishes To Wear the Crown, Endure Its Weight – The Heirs
The One Who Wants to Wear a Crown Must Bear the Weight – The Heirs
Those Who Want the Crown, Withstand the Weight of it – The Heirs
