Biography

Ana María Picchio was born on March 30th, 1946 in Floresta, Buenos Aires. She is a renowned actress and has has many performances in films, theatre, and television. Ana María starred in the movie La Tregua; which was the first Argentine movie to be nominated for an Oscar Award.

Other important roles were in Chechechela, Una Chica de Barrios, and Breve Cielo. She also won the awards Cóndor de Plata and San Jorge de Plata at the Moscow Festival for her role in Breve Cielo. Ana Picchio was outstanding in her role for the successful drama Mujeres Asesinas. She has a daughter with Joaquín Peña.
