Biography

Cecilia Roth, real last name Rotenberg, was born on August 8, 1956 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Roth is a renowned Argentine actress. Her father, Abrasha Rotenberg, a Jewish immigrant from the Soviet Ukraine, is an editor and journalist. Cecilia’s parents met in Argentina, as her mother was a singer there.

Cecilia Roth has made appearances in numerous television series such as Mujeres Asesinas and Trátame Bien After working in Argentina in several films she moved to Spain, where she started a frequent collaboration with the famous Almodóvar. Roth went on to appear in six of his movies, either as lead or supporting actor. Roth spent some years of her life with singer Fito Páez, and they share an adopted child.
