Biography

Born in South Korea in 1980, Son Tae Young grew up to be a model and an actress. She attended Sang Myung University and in 2008 she married fellow popular actor Kwon Sang Woo. The couple has one son, Luke, born in early 2009.

Since her modeling days and stints in competitions, including winning third runner up in the 2000 Miss Korea pageant, Son Tae Young has been involved as an actress in several television and movie projects. Her television career began in 2001 with Pure Heart and continued with the programs Remember, One Million Roses, Banjun Drama, Marrying a Millionaire, Yeon Gae Somun, Freeze, I'm Sam, Iljimae, and ending with 2009's Two Wives. Her first film was 2004's Ghost House and afterwards she acted in the films Sad Movie, The Railroad, 3 Colors Love Story, and Going Crazy Waiting.

In 2011, she was featured in an episode of the reality television show Actresses' House Season 2 and has also emceed for the program. Although she hasn't been involved as an actress since 2009, her modeling career has continued. In 2012 she signed with J One Plus Entertainment and intends to return to acting.
