Reviews

I tried to watch this one before and gave up on the 2nd episode, because I didn't care for the story line. After reading some of the reviews I decided to give it another try and finished the drama this time. I was pleasantly surprised. This is a good one!

This drama was a bit of a disappointment because it starts off so promising and then somewhere toward the middle it starts to drag and become uninteresting. The lead actress and actor were wonderful and had good chemistry but the story just lost momentum. The end was a let down for me - not awful - just not satisfying.

Wonderful story, awesome music, perfect acting and Won Bin! Who could ask for anything more. This ones a real tearjerker.

This drama holds a special place in my heart because it was the beginning of my Korean Drama addiction (as well as the beginning of my infactuation with the very hot Kim Sung Soo). Love the chemistry between Song Hye Kyo and each of the two male leads! Grandma is hilarious. The music is perfection! Each time I watch it, I love it even more. I laugh, cry with Han Ji Eun and yell at Hye Won (that self-centered skank). I love this drama!

The rich boy's attitude toward the poor girl that he was attracted to, was probably more realistic than we see in a lot of dramas, which was interesting. I got bored with that couple toward the end of the drama though. I really enjoyed watching the relationship develop between the poor boy and rich doctor. MAJOR FRUSTRATION WITH SUB-TITLES. Many of the sub-titles for the conversations in the second half of the drama just did not make any sense and I really wanted to know what the characters were saying to each other! Maybe it's time to take a course in Korean so I don't have to depend so much on the subs.

This one had many negative reviews, but I decided to give it a try anyway because I like Kim Rae Won. What a mistake I made! Yuk! After 10 episodes, I'm not spending anymore time on this one. The female lead is not someone I can or want to sympathize with. Her lack of respect for her sister's marriage is just wrong. Sure she lost both parents at an early age and thinks it's her fault, but that doesn't excuse her lack of morals as far as her sister's husband. And her sister raised her and was so good to her. What an unlikeable character for the lead. I give this one star only because of Kim Rae Won!

Kim Sun Ah and Chae Seung Won did not seem to have any chemistry in the first few episode, but as their relationship develops the chemistry between them leaps off the charts! I loved the part where she dances with his jacket. Great ending! Two of my favorite drama songs of all time are in this one. I am now an official Chae Seung Won fan.

I had trouble finishing this one, but did so because of the high ratings it received. I watch Korean Drama to be entertained and I did not find this story interesting or entertaining in the least. I gave two stars because the lead male was convincing in his role. I guess "slice of life" dramas are not my cup of tea.

Lots of hilarious moments in this one - especially some of the flash backs! I did not sympathize at all with the lead female character in the beginning, but eventually warmed up to her. The relationship between the President and her is entertaining, Satisfying ending.

This is a very good drama with lots of suspense and intensity. Interesting, well written relationships. Wonderfully haunting soundtrack.

Would only give 2 1/2 stars if available. I really don't get the enthusiasm over this drama. It was just so-so for me. I don't have the desire to re-watch any of this. Sorry. Oh - I did enjoy the waffle guy!

This drama is a lot of fun! Han Ye Seul and Oh Ji Ho have great chemistry. Cute idea to redo the American movie "Overboard" in to a Korean Drama - it totally works. Lots of nice shots of Oh Ji Ho for his fans and it's very heartwarming to watch Cho Anna's gradually change.

I originally decided to watch this drama because I love Chae Rim and because I wanted to see what all the fuss was about Jang Dong Gun. Well, I wasn't disappointed. The story was well told and each of the actors did a top-notch job. Jang Dong Gun has a lot of screen presence/charisma and Chae Rim is so engaging, you're just immediately drawn in to her character. The development and eventual outcome of the relationship between Woo Jin and Young Mi and the effect their relationship has on the other characters left me an emotional mess - but what awesome story telling!

I didn't care much for the lead female character. I found her very annoying and unlikeable. To bad, because the two male leads were great. What kept me watching though was Mi Ran. She was very well played really scary and pitiful at the same time. I loved the music that played when ever she was up to her devilment., Because of this I rated a 4 star in spite of the lead female.

Very under-rated drama. The story is well told and the acting is wonderful! Very funny in parts. I didn't realize Uhm Hwa was such a great comedianne. Heart wrenching in other parts. Character development was good. Musical score was great! If you're a romantic at heart and like a good cry every now and then, this is the drama for you.

Oh no! It's Friday and no new episodes! This drama is so good. I must be patient.

As far as romantic comedies go, this one was pretty average in comparison with, the likes of "Queen of Housewifes" or "City Hall" - both which I personally would rate as 5 star (top notch) dramas. I use the following criteria when rating k-drama: standout musical score, sympathetic and interesting to watch lead actor/actress, good looking men (yes, I'm shallow when it comes to that), entertaining side stories (side stories that don't make you want to "fast forward") and last but not least a villain that you just hate who at the end of the day gets their just desserts. In regard to this drama, the heroine was very sympathetic, but the rest fell short for me. An OK watch if you're a newbie to k-drama, but if you're a real k-drama connoisseur you will probably find this one lacking. Just a side note - more than once the sub-titles did not make sense to me - so maybe for certain conversations between the characters the Korean meaning could not be translated well into English.
