I saw the original Japanese version of Jin which was shown in 2 parts like a mini series. I wonder if they're combining part 1 & 2 into a condensed version of the original, as I've noticed many parts of the Korean version are happening sooner in the story than they did in the original. What I really like about the Korean version is that they're not making it a complete knock off of the Japanese version. I really enjoy how they are keeping the spirit of the original Jin while making the story uniquely their own at the same time. The writing is well done and the acting is also really well done. It has a little something for everybody.
I'm only on the 4th episode and it's dragging a bit. Not complaining though since they're doing a good job of setting the stage of the important players and their strengths & weakness which will be important later. Have to admit, I can't help thinking that parts of the childhood characters remind me of Forrest Gump meets Harry Potter in booth camp. I wonder if they did that on purpose just for fun...or maybe it's just me.
If you've ever seen American Chai you'll like this movie, It's entertaining but very predictable.
