I'm only at ep 7 and maybe it's the family drama genre, but I feel like I've seen this one before. This reminds me of the old saying when I'm at a meeting and the same thing gets repeated and repeated: Everything has been said but not everyone has said it. That being said, I am enjoying the story even though I'm disappointed in the jokes about farts and hemorrhoids but hey, that happens in KDrama. I'm finished! The ending 5-10 eps have been a pure delight to watch. The writers did a great job developing the charecters and the actors did a wonderful job on presenting them.

Interesting and fun drama. I had to wonder if Park Ha ever lived in the US. She shows a certain entrepreneurial spirit but when 4 strange men materialize in her apartment, she never asks "What can you do?" but works them as menial laborers and focused on getting $700 dollars worth of work from them. So much so that she loses $42,000 from negligence. Someone from the States would have evaluated their skills and put them to work accordingly- But if she had more US Common sense there would be an entirely different story. At Ep 16- Characters that normally are suspicious and thoughtful, rush into foolish actions. If they remember what just happened the day before, they would have stopped the current story and made a different maybe more complex story.

with well drawn characters, well develop story lines & excellent acting. However, I can't help but do my usual knit picking of the story: a junior chef whose negligence causes the near death of a hotel guest is indignant over her termination and blames the hotel guest's relative; the mean girl who refuses to follow good advice of not seeing her ex-boy friend and causes the problems to get worst asks the person whose advice she ignores to help her with the new problems; all the men are interested in a sweet, pretty woman with diminished mental capacity and ignore or merely tolerate the attractive, smart successful women in their lives; and everyone secrets get overheard time and time again while talking to themselves or a family member or on the telephone with their back to the door.; & finally, a news reporter who can't find a person who is the mother of the apparent number one short track ice skating racer in the world. Of course if these things did not occur, it would not be K-drama.

A happy coupling results in a marriage were the sadness is halved and the joy is doubled. One family raised generous and loving children that go forth and make the world better; while the other family created bitterness and loneliness. Bringing them together presents a great opportunity for drama, comedy and, of course, romance. Happily, none of the tragic life turns we expect in US TV did not show up. I enjoyed the story, the actors the characters and the humor. It was like eating my favorite ice cream. I do have to wonder though why the angry male is such a prevalent theme in Kdrama rom/com.

Lyrical and well written, this show touched my heart. I love Jang Hyuk's performance as the tortured doctor and Shin Goo seems to be enjoying himself playing the grandfather suffering from dementia- just delightful. I love how the mom has created a life for her child in difficult circumstances. Seo Shin Ae's performance is of award-winning caliber. This being said, about the story itself, I can't help but wonder how 2 incompetent medical personnel end up at the same clinic? One would be funny. Both are just painful. I'm happy their writer have them improve their performance by the end.

The premise of this show was actually kind of interesting. However, the uptight behavior of the lead female character around men had me question if she had ever been married. I agreed with the character who expressed amazement at her stupidity. She never fully informs her 1st "spy" partner of the background so they can work together and he doesn't ask, why she starts a police interrogation in the middle of dinner. Oh Dennis has boyish charm and is just started to learn how to act in this series. I skipped several episodes towards the end. I thought the ending was not ambiguous as some reviewers have mentioned. The lead is a spy and his 2nd in command has raised him from an early age. wouldn't they have a Plan B?

Interesting story; great cast; The younger actors were great! (Dramafever needs to start including them on the list of cast members.) Characters were one dimensional which made their fate unfortunately predictable. The king, Lee Hwon, seemed to live in Neverland because like Peter Pan, he never aged. The scenes of the various ceremonies were attractively filmed.

The kind-hearted housewife helps yet another wealthy younger man find his heart and create a happy family and successful life. The character of the female lead sometimes seems a little inconsistent with a woman who was married to a wealthy man even if he is kind of a jerk and she lost all her money. This drama could also be called "The Revenge of the Housewife". That being said the final conclusion: Cute story, cute kids, nice eye candy.

The 1st 8 eps seem to set-up the background for what I think is the real drama beginning with ep 9 (yet to be shown) where I think there will be another leap forward in time now that Kim Seon Woo has been reconnected with his(?) father. The young actors (1st 3 eps.)were great and I hope dramafever acknowledges them on the summary page.

Ha Ji Wan kicks butt in ep 12! John Mayer is beginning to grow on me as a villain- WOW Just watched 7 an 8 and this show just keeps delivering! 4 stars for the chemistry between the leads and also the camaraderie of the cast. The 2 leads are knocking it out of the park! (It's opening day at Fenway Park...) Great Romance and Story. But this whole magic performing arms dealer with his own club needs to go. Too obvious and too unlikely at the same time. The death scene with the Club M founder is evidence of a need for a good estate plan and not transferring big assets to unreliable offspring too early.

Though Fun, the story needed work and the Romance never became wild. I'm still not sure why the 2 main characters came together but understand the secondary relationships. My original comments: At ep. 5,, I'm enjoying the comedy of this drama. The body guard flip-flops between being a professional body guard and showing none of the common sense one would expect from a body guard, But, then, if she had common sense and kept the cell phone and shared its contents with the her company's owner, the rest of the show would probably happen differently. I'm surprised the Dreamers team kept her after the egg in the face incident. As a citizen of Red Sox Nation, I can kind of understand the sports fanaticism of the family but I've never seen it taken to the extreme of the Body Guard's family. Ep 12 Show hitting its stride: the mystery is definitely a mystery with several potential culprits. and the love triangle remains. Ep 20 unsatisfactory. Bodyguard blunders into a trap & is saved by her principal!

Enjoyed the combination of episodic stories with series long mystery. The acting was enjoyable and the characters realistic, if often quirky,

It's fun and I'm enjoying it. How ever, every time Kim Yong Hee decides she knows better, she creates a problem. It's kind of driving me nuts. I'm at ep 9 and she's complaining about being lent money by a fellow student. Where is her drive to work to pay it back that created the problem? She refuses a marriage that many girls would have entered into because she thinks it makes her less human. What does that make all the other women? What about her own parents marriage? Her teacher properly "reads" her when he says she uses her circumstances to justify flaunting convictions to do what she wants, How does her brother recover his name and identity? Lot's of stories left to tell.

A sweet confection with the right amounts of tartness, sassy-ness, funny-ness and romance. What a joy to watch a show where no one is a real villain, just real characters trying to live their lives. Gong Hyo Jin - wonderful; Lee Dong Gun- delightful Hong Soo Hyun- a great talent! Rain- Rocked! The scene of him exercising with the little girls was precious. However, I can see why he has gay rumors- I've yet to see him in something where he doesn't have some kind of "gay" joke. The comments by Hey Lizard (below) about his performance are spot on!

Congratulations for presenting a story with a functional illiterate. However, having watched only the 1st couple of episodes, I got to say this story stinks. The lead female character is selfish, uncaring and screechy, She exploits her brother and her friends who for some reason still care for her. Byun Jung Soo is great as usual.

Great Story! I appreciate that after a struggle with himself, the male lead decides to act on his love even though it's against everything he believes about himself. All the characters are endearing and the acting is superb. The female lead with her super human strength, her loyalty and her optimism reminded me of the Swedish children's book character, Pippy Longstockings.

2/3rd of the way through and have enjoyed almost every moment of the series. The romance of the youngest sister is my favorite. I understand why the oldest sister is in her marriage and am quite surprised she was actually able to leave him. Why hasn't the middle sister been able to control her impulsive nature and develop some diplomacy during the time she and her husband were raising their son? But then if she had, there would be no drama. The whole family needs to go to family therapy.

On a wonderful series. The cinematography is lyrical. I loved that the story centered around family, food and the search for the way forward. My Appreciation to the Writers, Actors, Director, Show staff and Translators. The only downside to this show is that I'm no longer satisfied with the cabbage kimchi available at my local store.

I'm at ep 5 and the show is Fun! I have a feeling it's going to be a little too long and a little too obvious and a little too stereotyped but the overall theme is going to be fun. I don't know much about Taiwan and hope to learn about the society through watching this how. *** The comments below were based upon my earlier comment that I thought the actors were a little too old for their parts in the 1st ep when the characters were 20ish. It's now 3plus years later.

There are many excellent reviews of this show. I enjoyed all the medical stories on this show. I appreciate the complexity of the medical issues and the thoughtful and caring ways they were presented. In the US, we tend to simply issues around pregnancies in the public square- woman's right to choose what happens to her body (pro-choice) or every fetus has a right to life and to be carried to term and born (pro-life). This series explored the huge gray area many in the US are not aware of. The romance between the main characters was a little weak but that between the intern and the nurse was excellent. Spoiler alert-==== I was surprised by the strapless wedding dress. Spoiler alert ends==== I've had some experience with gynecologists who thought they were gods and acted in the detached manner and the arrogance as these doctors sometimes did. In general, a very good series.

Many people liked this drama but I thought it was going no where and was tedious. I only got to ep 6. The characters were over the top which is good for a satire, but I didn't like any of them enough to care about what happens to them. Also, the drug development aspect of the story which may have been central to plot development, seemed minor and the company's handling of its development amateurish for such a major corporation. Given the enthusiastic reviews of others, I may try watching it again in a few months.

A fun rom-com that shows in 5 minutes one can go from "perky newbie" to "old hag" based on one's age in Korea & the impact that has on one's life. Good female leads with none of the delivering milk at 5am and other annoying aspects typical in similar situations. I did wonder why she didn't make clothes for her fashionista sister or friends at least once during her 14 years at the fabric company. Even while a student or store employee, my designer friend's passion to design dressed me in his clothes. Choi Daniel was greet and I enjoyed his metamorphosis from brash youth to loving & generous adult. After the 3rd or 4th Pro. Runway type challenge (where was design a dress out of leaves challenge), I did wonder why the talented young designer chose to stay in a dead end situation when she would be in demand back in NYC or some other fashion capital or other company. I loved the fashion part of the show. The series dragged in the center.

I started this because of the high ratings and the interesting premise and am enjoying the gangster intrigue and the fight scenes. But I just don't like Kim Jung Eun or her character. I think her mugging facial expressions turn me off. I am also trying to give her character the benefit of the doubt. It appears she's willing to sell the land right out from beneath her father's orphanage but she won't do cosmetic procedures that clients request because she feels its not appropriate. How can she be about the money on one hand and self-righteousness about performing cosmetic surgery on the other? She agrees to date a man but her heart is not in it and she doesn't have enough respect for him or herself to pretend. I understand why she likes the lead but don't understand why they like her. She may be type cast but I don't care for this character very much. The men are all attractive. But their characters are all following the rule: there are women you sleep with and women you marry.

Interesting glimpse into the world of fine art auctioning. I do wonder why the female lead wants to go into fine art auctioning. All this stuff about her father doesn't make sense, since she did nothing to prepare herself for the job and except when directed by a coworker does nothing to develop her knowledge while on the job and seems to get by with luck. But then maybe recent college grads in Korea are like this? I'm only at ep 5 and don't have my usual urgency to watch the whole series at once. A better series on art and historic artifacts is "When it is at Night" - one of the best dramas I've seen.

Every episode was entertaining, even with the predictability of the plot. The chemistry between the leads was great. I'm sad the nice guy again finishes alone. But I do wonder why a sign of domestic happiness is doing the laundry by hand. To show how Sonny is happy she is at home she does the laundry on the roof. Regularly Korean women doing the laundry by hand is used a a metaphor for domestic happiness: wealthy women who marry down, nice middle class girls who marry, poor women who marry up, all happily do the laundry by hand shown or stomp on the bed covers in a bucket. I did my laundry by hand for several years as a poor grad student . One of my first purchases after the dishwasher was the clothes washer. Do middle class women really do the laundry by hand in Korea? I'm sadden by Choi Jin Shil 's death and hope that some Korean series is done on the issue of battered women.

I'm at ep 28 and I can't believe its still going on. II agree with Mrs. Kang that her son is naive about women and the girllfriend is not the best person for him. She remains selfish and not thinking of others. if the son hadn't spent 8 years thinking of one woman he may have had more experience and not fallen for her. The bankrupt dad remains a schemer but I'm not interested in watching 16 episodes to see what happens to him. I liked the couple of the oldest son and the food truck driver. He doesn't have much to offer but I believe she can help him grow-up. The lessons about money are a little heavy handed, I'm ready for them to wrap this show up in the next 3 eps.

Ep 2. Every time someone does Mouth to Mouth resuscitation or CPR in a Kdrama, they do it wrong. I'm surprised anyone survives.

An engrossing drama but disappointing ending. I disliked the character of Eun Sung. I liked her transition from pampered daughter to entrepreneurial young woman. Though compassionate, she was also arrogant & self-righteous. After posting flyers about her brother she never gave one to Hwan even after their relationship changed. Nice to her step-sister she never tried to learn about her life until the writers tied everything up at the end. Even though her stepmother lied & cheated & her friends tell her stepmother is too dangerous for her to deal with her alone, she still acted alone with her until the end. The male lead, Hwan, selfishly uses the stepsister Sueng Mi for 8 years (and everyone else) & then drops her for Eun Sung. Jun Se, the ideal guy: warm, caring, smart and financially secure is rejected for the immature & selfish Hwan who is a “project”. I hope Jun Se ends up Hye Ri who is also warm and compassionate. I'm sorry Seung-Li ended up alone, her years of devotion to Hwan unrewarded.

At Ep 9, I'm wondering if the predictability of the story is enough to keep me interested for 50 (!) eps. I find the loud Lower class characters loud, uncouth and annoying and the upper class characters uptight, scheming and annoying. Bae Doo Na seems to be on automatic pilot -- how many times has she played this girl? Her character is self-righteous, arrogant and annoying.I don't see any spark between her and Suh Ji Suk whom it appears she will end up with. The Secondary romance between Lee Chun Hee's and So Yi Hyun's seems very realistic and is unfolding in a natural way. Lot's of actors from Family Honor are in this drama and it has taken several eps. for me to get used to seeing them in these new roles as I liked that series so much. This could be part of my slowness in embracing this series. Given the different levels of formality in Korean, I feel that the translators had a real challenge conveying this to English so we may have lost some of the nuance of the story,

I watched 5 episodes and no more!. A selfish woman gets pregnant & marries for money. We’re supposed to feel sorry for her when she’s unhappy & wants a divorce to express herself! Perhaps the husband’s family was a little unreasonable, but it seems as though during her marriage, she did nothing to “fit in” to her new family except “shut up and keep quiet” at parties. I don’t care how she get’s dirt on her husband for the divorce court. I don’t care if she gets involved with the male lead musician (nor any threat about child custody from his ex-wife). The other minor characters seem to be stereotypes and, after 5 episodes, I don’t care about them either. I was interested because Kim Sun Ah was 1st connected to it. I’m glad she didn’t do it . Kim Jung Eun doesn't appeal to me as an actress. Someone: writers; director; or producers made some bad decisions about this drama. All this being said: Kudos to the ahjummas who rock!!!!!!!

I'm at ep 3 and, though the story is cute, I'm kind of tired of girls who seem so one dimensional, focused on one guy and not a lot of common sense or quick thinking. Now that I finished watching this series, I agree it's entertaining. I wonder if the Princess and her guy will make it as a couple because they never seemed to talk about what was going on in their lives while living in the palace; each act independently without trusting the other. I was hoping for a more Pygmalion-type story where the Princess gets transformed more by his teacher. Song Seung Hun and the writers should have thrown in a few more shower scenes through out the series so we could take our minds off the Princesses behavior.

The 1st few episodes were light and fun, even when dealing with serious subjects such as infidelity and unexpected pregnancy. Now at Ep. 6, I feel I’m slogging through the minutia of getting the couples together. I feel sorry for the relatively young women who seem to be ending up with guys who seem not to have much to offer.

I was expecting an action show & for the 1st several episodes, I kept thinking: What is this; when is the action going to happen?” I finally relaxed and let the witty characters, dialogue and story wash over me. The action, suspense and mystery were just perfect. Great acting by Lee Joon Ki! He needs more shows!

The show goes all over the place- countryside, Seoul, Thailand, corporate life, university life, family life. The male lead transforms from a playboy to a fairy godmother and Park Shi Hoo steals the show. The mystery ties everyone together. I've watched it twice so far because the story and characters are entertaining.

As often as I've been through an airport, I never think about security other than getting through the airport scanner as quickly as possible. I liked the portrayal of people working together at an airport to insure safety and on time performance. The romance and Self discovery was good. I wish American TV would get approval from the FBI/TSA to try its hand at this type of drama. I liked all the stories and, yes, I love Lee Jung Jae and Choi Ji Woo. I disagree with some of the other reviews, I think Choi's stilled performance is within keeping with her character. She is so pretty, I can watch her in almost anything. I love Lee's voice. I wish I had a recording of him reading a book because I would listen to it forever!

One of my favorites! Be prepared to get mad, happy, sad and fall in love!

I understand why he's 40ish and unmarried. I watched 1-8 skipped to parts of ep 15 and am now sampling ep 23. He's 40ish, in debt, no savings and in a dead end job. If his problem was he was a just a nice guy who has bad luck when he helps people, I think he would have been snapped up by age 30 and made into his wife's project.. He has low self esteem. Why his "catch" fiance wants him after about the 2nd or 3rd big problem is revealed I don't know. I think a more interesting story may be what happened between the Moms 40 years ago. I'm not certain but it seems to have effected the rest of their lives and their children's lives. I was hoping Park Shi Hoo would have turned up by now but he hasn't. (oh well- he's probably a very minor character and should not be listed on the cast of characters.). I skipped to ep. 47 and it seems to be a more interesting family drama so it goes up to 3 stars. The guy is still a loser, in my opinion. No reason to watch the whole thing unless you have time to kill. .

I love the excitement, mystery and drama of this show, I still don't have all the characters correct in my mind, but I love the drama and suspense.. The cinematography is enjoyable and the colors luscious. The fight scenes dramatic and entertaining, At Ep 8, there is no romance yet, but this show does not need it. This show makes me want to read the book it's based on.Having just completed ep 17, I increased my rating to 5 stars! I appreciate the challenge and drama of creating a written language.

Kim Nam Joo's what Many Women strive to be. This drama had me so engrossed that I spent several days watching it and thought of missing a family event so i could see the last episodes! The characters are great, Kim Nam Joo's refuses to be defeated while Park Shi Hoo's loves whole heartedly and without reservation. The characters and story lines are well written and well acted. I'm only at ep 27 but I've confident that the writers will bring everything to a satisfying conclusion.

The three bears song performances are so cute. The grandma who has never cooked a day in her life trying to teach the daughter in law to cook had me laughing. All the house cleaning made me vacuum more. The Rain character needed to grow up. I'm surprised he was as immature as he was given how his family seemed to be. How many young people in Korea end up growing up alone after their parents die or remarry? It seems a standard plot device. Do we over care for kids in the US by giving child protective services a role? The 2 "helpful" friends were too much. The female lead should have dropped them. So I guess I'm saying the story needed a little work But for what it is, it's OK.

I loved this Drama! (I'll write more when I have time,)

I'm at ep 3 and wonder whether this is just for the sake of the drama or do people with serious mental health issues really get treated like this? I congratulate the police dept for forcing her to get treatment. It makes me wonder why she got hired for such a high pressured job as police officer in the 1st place. The story seems all over the place but I know where it's headed. The male lead seems a little to young and not mature enough for what his background is supposed to be. Not sure If I'll watch anymore.

Well done short offering a glimpse of love.

A light confection.

After enjoying Queen of Reversals, I began Queen of Housewives with high hopes. Disappointment followed. The story started dragging midway though so I skipped 6 or 7 episodes for the last one. I missed nothing by skipping them. The beehive of female activity in the Queen Apartment building got tedious after a while. The actors were talented but not well cast; in several supposedly same age couples, the wife was significantly older than the husband. Kim Nam Joo has both excellent acting abilities and great comedic timing; wish there was more of her work on dramafever.

Was this someone's high school project? Don't get the connection between the title and the dream/movie? Dream sequence should have explained or showed why a high school girl was dreaming this particular dream. Didn't know she was dancing until she woke up. No dramatic tension. Dancers should have performed in the studio in front of a blue screen and street sequences added later. Good dancing. These things being said, Congratulations for making a movie and getting it on drama fever. Hope you continue to improve.

This series drew me in and kept me glued to the computer screen. The story is full of twists and turns and at the end didn't straighten them all out to my satisfaction. Rain camped up his character except when he was fighting. Why his character was interested in the main female lead? That character was cold and aloof. Rain's character may have thought this would a good challenge but I didn't see when or why it changed to love; The writers may have been a little formulaic about this. Lee Jung Jin's character was the only one that developed over the course of the story and he played it excellently. I love his voice and hopes he gets more parts. His love interest, Officer Yoon, kicked butt, took no prisoners and protected her guy. Very admirable and so different from the norm for KDrama women. Henny Daniel is type cast and I hope we can see him do someone else. I can understand why 2 women love him.

I'm adding my praise of this drama to the hundreds of other reviewers. Good story, good action, no plot gaps, great acting & good production values. This may be the advantage of adopting a good book into a series. However, I didn't like the character of Na Na (female lead), especially at the beginning of the series, but I could understand how she could become that way under the circumstances. I do wonder how someone who acts impulsively, without thinking, could become a security guard for the President of Korea. I can only think that she must have been hired because her dad was one.

Congratulations to the film makers and actors for making a concise. charming and hopeful little film.

I'm at Ep 8 and am totally absorbed in this drama. Good story, great costumes and cinematography. I love Park Shi Hoo; He's a great actor. I know the ending is tragic but I'm watching it anyway. Seeing this story makes me wonder how two cousins raised in similar circumstances can have different understandings of their situations. The Princess is well aware of her role as sister to the King while Lee Se Ryung seems totally ignorant of court issues. It makes me wonder how much of history was influenced by young women acting impulsively.

I've reviewed so many shows I don't like and felt I had to give a shout out to this show. Every episode was anticipated and when I want to smile or have a good laugh I watch them again. Cha Seung Won seems to be enjoying himself immensely and Gong Hyo Jon has her character navigate the margins of the D list (as we would say in the States) with grace and charm. The Bachelor Doctor has me routing for his happy ending and the supporting characters make for a well rounded story. Other reviewers have pointed out storyline flaws but I just 'pay them no never mind ' and keep laughing. I would buy this on DVD.

I’m now at ep. 14 and wanted to express my appreciation for such a great drama. The pace is thoughtfully slow. The setting is beautiful and the actors and actresses attractive. The characters and story are well developed. Set in motion when the main character wants to answer the question of who is his father, the story addresses issues of karma, friendship, duty and love when everything is uncertain. A mother's decision not to tell her son the truth about his father sets into a motion a love that last through and overcomes every obstacle. Choi Ji Woo, one of favorite actresses, does an excellent job of portraying a woman who is in constant emotion turmoil. Park Yong Ha’s determination to obtain the woman he has loved his whole life, contrasts with easy loving and companion-ability played by Bae Yong Jun. The soundtrack supports the film. This is a drama to savor. RIP Park Yong Ha; You & your family are in my prayers.

Most people leave the casino poorer, but these characters advance and advance in income and social status, through gambling, while remaining true to their childhood friends and dreams. Because the shows tempo, plodding, I watched this over several weeks and enjoyed almost every episode. Every time the guys fall, they find a way back up. The relationships between the characters are interesting; the fight scenes are well choreographed; and the romance believable. I enjoyed the immigrant view of American life. Of course, I really like Lee Byung Hun's quiet virility..

This drama has the complete package: Interesting story line; Good characters: good romance and chemistry between the main characters: Good acting; Good action scenes; & Good music! 3 Cheers for Kim Sun Ah! 3 Cheers for Lee Dong Gun! 3 Cheers for "When It's At Night"!

I'm only watched 2 episodes so far and I'm getting tired of these stupid women characters. Any woman who goes to Paris knows what couture costs. So many of these KDramas have women as main characters with no common sense. How did they get to be in their 20's without having to deal with real life? Do Korean men really expect women to be like this and find it attractive? or is it just the Cinderella Stories that are like this? I watched other random episodes including the end. It doesn't get any better. Why the lead female character has license not to follow corporate protocol is beyond me. The ending appears to be out of left field but, again, I didn't watch most of the episodes.

The comments indicate the show is good. However, I stopped at ep. 6. Decided I had better things to do with my time than watch the same thing over and over. I'm sure the kind hearted wife and her lawyer will be successful but I'm not interested. The icy wealthy family did not hold my interest. I liked several of the actors from other dramas and hope to see them again. .

I've watched the 1st 2 1/2 episodes and the last one. The lead female character's unethical and selfish behavior to entrap the male lead into impregnating her revolts me. This isn't funny but many men's worst nightmare. If she had gone abroad to be inseminated, she would have been happy and a man's life not potentially destroyed. Maybe the nightmare of endless child support from the Baby's Daddy doesn't exist in Korea. I've decided to keep watching because somehow the Male lead develops a successful relationship with her that would never have occurred under normal circumstances. The exception not the rule. The side stories seem more interesting. Now at ep. 12, I can see the real destruction her behavior caused for his family, his fiance and perhaps him. The ends does not justify the means.

At ep 8,, I'm giving this drama 4 stars. Good story lines, good acting and nicely developed, attractive men with their shirts off.

At Ep. 11, 25.26 minutes. I don't know the Kdrama industry well or the full details behind Han Ye Seul leaving the set, but if her intention was to improve the Drama and it's production I support her totally. I would have stopped after Ep 1 or 2 but with no more Greatest Love, I had nothing to watch. Ep 10 was best to date so I became optimistic about the series. Then Han makes a stand for worker rights.. In the states. 1 hr drama take a week to film; doing 2 hours in 1 week must be a lot of work.. If her actions have made the show better- better scripts, better working environment, Good for her. Han Ye Seul- Fighting!!!!

The best way to watch Sparkling is every other episode after the 1st couple. It’s plodding along in an interesting direction. (Ep. 32) I wonder how much of the personalities of the 2 main female characters comes from their upbringing more than their innate personalities? Raised to put others before herself, Hwang Geum Ran wants everything too fast and makes wrong choices as a result. She’s essentially alone. Within the confines of Korean culture, could she ever find friends like she had a working girl? Neither family accepts her into the new circumstances so she’s comfortable. Yet, Han Jung Won, raised as the family favorite, becomes a sunny and respected presence in her new family and is missed in her old one. I hope Guen Ran is able to overcome her circumstances and develop into a better, more confident person. Jung Won has already stopped being so self-centered.. Ep 42. The money lending mother is the best villain!

(Ep 8) This program is just too self conscious of being “ground breaking: Sex in the City exists; we don’t need a boring Korean version that appears to have little of what l like about Kdramas -families multi-generational casts and traditional expectations in tension with modern times. This drama is doing a disservice to young women who will begin to think they can sleep around without emotional repercussions. I was willing to suspend belief that a woman could date a man for 10 years not know he was making a major movie and had not talked about marriage. Soulmate is better on this topic. Welcome back Kim Joeng Hoan! Hope better parts for you in the future. Just saw Ep 16. Like the ending, may go back and watch all eps.

I was disappointed in the story. Were the writers just trying to push the envelope or annoy the audience? The teen-age crush of the "sister" on her "brother" was just too much. If they lived several years as brother and sister with their parents, the "sister" should have been more reflective of her behavior and emotions -- any teenage girl would. The "brother" was emotionally immature and I never found out why (Skipping 7 episodes didn't help I'm sure, but I just couldn't watch it after a while.) The roommate steals the wife? What is that about? The original husband-wife pairing should have worked out their differences. Women always want the brooding difficult man (Mr. Darcey) and, in successful romances, both parties change enough so they can get together. But dropping him for the confection (Sweet guy) who makes you laugh? What is that about.? Two of my favorite actors (Lee Jung Jae & Lee Sun Gyun) wasted. Good ice skating sequences. Nice to see a tall actress.

I'm really disappointed in this show. The only interesting female character is Janice- she's a self made woman who runs her own successful business and seems to be supporting her sister and her sister's family. She needs to be in a high power relationship with a successful man. The Mother is weak and boring. She spends most of the show being a housewife. How can she even run a dress shop? I bet Janice made her divorce her husband. She doesn't have enough backbone to leave on her own.. Why the male lead is interested in her is beyond me. (Now at episode 9) He needs a relationship outside of the household. The writers should have explored his celebrity more. Why do the other Moms not respond to his success in the US and his book? I appreciate the exploration of the effect of divorce on Children but it seems kind of glossy and easy to address. This premise for this show offered a lot of potential but it has not lived up to it yet.
