Doc's Son is one of the few characters that I care about at this point -- but I still wish he wasn't a (you know what). His real boss and Jin Sook are also decent characters. But I'm not really invested in anyone else. There are too many undercovers running around, and I'm not liking Soo Min (her sister was better). The baddies, (Meth Kim, Pusan, Safari, etc.) and the surplus of other characters are all boring and I don't take them seriously.
Saying the same thing over and over and over again... rinse and repeat, while the plot crawls at a snail's pace... the result of too many episodes. Did not need 50 episodes to tell this story.
Upgrading to 5 stars after seeing episode 7. The timing of the music has finally become consistently good and the actors are splendid; there's not a weak link among them. Kim Nam Gil really shines in this role. The story is unraveling at a superb pace and the way Yi Soo is going about his revenge puts a fresh spin on an old genre. I dare to say the writing is much stronger than Bad Guy's, which had great acting and lots of eye candy but a problematic script. Highly recommend this one (so far).
