Good intentions you will reap good fruits. True kindness comes from the heart that does the right thing. It also shows that a person has to value life more than political affiliations. The right greed, if there's such a thing, is to come up with a win-win situation for all parties involved, without compromising right values. While in real life there will always be people motivated by selfish ambition, this drama shows that there are still some people who will not be bought by convenience, power, or money. Their joy is to exercise true justice, help those who are wrongly accused, and sometimes give second chances to those who committed wrong. I also witnessed the importance of the right advice to those who hold power. If all leaders of our nation have just advicers, our world would be a better place to live in. If this story is taken from manuscripts about DongYi, the mother of the 21st king of Joseon era, then i salute Dong Yi for raising up a great king, thought imperfect, but still worthy of praise.
A great Korean historical drama that captured my attention. All 77 episodes showed important features of business life - political management, economics, trade agreements, engineering, innovation, entrepreneurship, conflict resolutions, etc. It also shows how focus on the right goals will lead one to the right results and the greed and thirst for power aren't good motivators in life. There were funny episodes whenever the king travels outside the palace incognito. The love story of the king san and concubine sung is also a great watch. Hats off on the character of king san's queen as she unselfishly serve the king by finding the right concubine. This drama allowed me to tour a part of Korean history and developed in me a deep respect for their culture.
