Queen Seon Deok was the first Korean drama that I watch and it is still my favorite, I was really drawn into the story from the start. Yo Won Lee maybe could have put a little more chistma into Seon Deok, but she still did a really good job, especailly showing her heartbreak in the last episode. Hyun Jo was intrigining as Mil Shil, a great foil for Seon Deok, and in the end showing some nobibity putting the countries needs ahead of her ambitsion. Nam Gil Kim was really good a Bi Dam, showing his inter torment well. Definately worth watching.

I thought this drama was pretty good and underated. It derserved higher ratings and to have the number of episodes orginally planned. The acting was pretty good, Jamyung was solid. Lahee(Min Young Park) came across as more than just a girl blined by love and jelousey. I did feel sorry for her because she thought she was protecting her family and country. The actor who played Hodong did a good job, coming across as a jerk, but having a good side too, wanting to prove he is worthy of the throne and generally torn between Jamyung and Lahee. Hodong's "wicked step mother" also stood out for me, one does feel sorry for her and the pressure to give an heir but not being able to for awhile when it is not really her fault. Besides the acting, another reason I think it should have gone a little longer is it would have been nice to have seen what those episodes would have been like and be about, probably focusing on Jamyung leading the resistence.
