OK. Movie kind of sucked (in that trite kind of way). Wasn't thrilled with actress playing Lilly, but Sung Kang was deLISH and best actor out of the bunch. Lame movie, but loved seeing Hawaii (lived on Oahu 22 years ago...).
I dunno what happened... I just hit post on my-already-written-post but it isn't showing up! So am retyping...but making it short 'n sweet! I am floored by these young actors' abilities to communicate such a wide range of emotions! Especially in ep. 3 which had me riveted, tearing up @ the performances by the 2 in the 'horrible horrible' scene. :-( Brilliant, award winning performance by Yeo Jin-Ku during that scene.... I am increasingly amazed by the talents of these younger actors who play the earlier versions of the later-adult-leads... like the 4 kids in May Day. I was so relieved that ep. 4 wasn't available because I was wiped out from watching ep. 3. LOL!!! KUDOS TO THE YOUNG PEEPS!!!!
Be prepared to watch this series no-stop! Once you start, you'll have to see it through asap to the bitter end. LOL! Loved it! Love it that a 5-year old series is just as relevant in 2012 as it was in 2007. I loved the graphics/illustrations throughout the series, too! Whoever chose the music throughout, go it spot on also. Just in the past 2 days alone, I have watched multiple episodes in Whole Foods' cafe, FedEx, a small local health food store's cafe...and even plugged in outside & watched episodes while seated on a bench! Finally polished off the series sitting in McDonald's... where I've been since 8 AM this morning and it is now 1:30 PM!!! O-M-G! Anyway, it's an adorable drama with lots of laughs and touching will-make-u-cry moments. Will go down as one of my faves....ENJOY!
