When I first started watching Flower Boy Next Door, I immediately fell in love with the drama. I loved Shut Up Flower Boy Band because of how different it was from other dramas, and Boy Next Door seemed like it was going in that same direction. I'm not saying that I thought it was going to be edgy and cool like Boy Band, but it had an entirely different look and characters from regular dramas. I was in love with the elegant writing and tone of the show. I loved it to pieces...until the last 4 episodes. Boy Next Door started out SO wonderfully, but then trapped itself into the vortex of cliche dramaland with the last few episodes. Don't get me wrong- I adored the cuteness and the characters to death. However, the last 3-4 episodes bumped the otherwise amazing and different drama from a 5 star rating to a 4 star rating for me. I totally recommend Flower Boy Next Door, but beware of the cliches at the end!

Beautifully shot with great music that really fits the story. Reminds me of indie films, but with South Korea's take on romance. The conversations between characters were realistic and interesting. Like, how someone says they're happily single, but are always secretly looking for that special someone. Not sure if the story itself went anywhere though, so I'm only giving it 3 stars.
