Another great drama comes to an end. GAH!!! It was fantastic. 5 Stars. I loved the family dynamic! There were SO many LOL moments. Dal Po's piggy banks, HAHAHA!! It was also hilarious that Dal Po and In Ha referred to each other as Uncle and Niece. My heart ached for Bum Jo. His character arc was wonderfully portrayed. Lastly, Sung Cha Ok. I have to say, ordinarily, when I find a baddie that disreputable and disgusting it's nearly impossible for the writers to redeem them, no matter how hard they try to shove it down my throat. This time, amazingly, they totally succeeded. Her growth was believable. The actress REALLY sold it. The only loose thread for me was the Cap and Yoon Yu Rae. I wish they had presented them as a couple too at the end. Otherwise, stellar drama, dreamy ending ::sigh:: Everything I love about K-Drama. Thanks Dramafever!!
Well. That was vastly unsatisfying. The big bad "Hwa Young" was what, untouchable? Even after so many of their evil deeds and even more evil subordinates were revealed to the public? Aaaand nobody noticed that the Chief was conveniently murdered after he won a case against them? Really? Like, for reals? ::sigh:: Don't get me wrong, there were some really sweet moments, and some great acting took place, but the loose ends abound. I know every drama can't have a happy, chocolate covered roses ending BUT after weeks of fairly riveting episodes, we were left with a very lukewarm, unresolved ending. If you want to be left with a frustratingly unsatisfied feeling, then by all means, knock yourself out... and I say that literally. I face palmed so much throughout the finale that I almost knocked my own damn self out... LOL. ::sigh::
Well... um... I'm not gonna lie... that was a tough one to get all the way through. I know the series was cut short but still... the loose ends hanging off of this finale are just wow. Tae Hee never explained to anyone how she acquired her living death sentence of a head injury. So basically, the housekeeper and her brother/minion/whatever, got away with murder. Tae Hee being alive was the killer for me. Mainly because she wasn't being held somewhere against her will, she didn't have amnesia, and by all accounts and purposes (despite her condition) she was living and working well enough for years. So WHY? Lastly, the Blade Man premise was confusing as all get out. WHAT was the PURPOSE of all of that superhuman strength if it wasn't going to be used to fight evil or something? Seriously. WTF. I don't know. Lee Dong Wook, I'm still a fangirl but, sorry Oppa, this one was a stinker.
