GAH!!! All I can do is SQUEEEEE!!! This was by far one of the BEST dramas I've seen this year. There was so much AMAZING that I don't even know where to start. All I have to say is the following: I'm officially a So Ji Sub fangirl (panties very inappropriately thrown...yes, I just typed that with no shame...don't judge me, you know you threw yours too...), I wish SO HARD that they would make my drama addicted heart beat a little faster by announcing a Season Two, I'm going to be waving my hand in front of my face and telling a LOT of people to get lost... (because it NEVER got old) and lastly, the Hong Sisters have made me their drama bitch for life. Ride or die. If you haven't watched it yet, please watch it. It's Hongtastic and you'll thank me and possibly want to be BFF's afterwards. GAH! I give it five, ten, HELL Twenty Kajillion (well deserved, super shiny) Stars. SQUEEEEE!!!
I sat through hours of truly HORRIFIC English acting because Dennis Oh is such a deliciously addictive piece of man candy I lost the will to care. I have no one but myself to blame. I could've stopped at any time but... well... he's addictive and I suppose he's also like that bad accident you see on the side of the road. You're compelled to strain your neck to look even though you already know... it's bad... I wept openly every time he opened his perfect mouth-- and sucker punched me with his flat line delivery and teenage-temper-tantrum style of acting. Additionally, after sitting (groaning) through the aforementioned (excruciatingly slow) 20 hours, the writers repaid my dedication by robbing me of solid resolutions for the massive catalogue of characters, both principal and supporting, I had come to know and love/hate (mostly hate). This was a fun drama but I was a little disappointed in the outcome. *SPOILER ALERT* Okay, they were the worst secret daters in the history of secret dating like EVER so when the inevitable happened and they were exposed I didn't understand why they weren't better prepared for the backlash. It seemed really unfair to me and slightly sexist that the woman in the relationship lost everything while the man got to keep his position. Particularly since she was the more passionate politician out of the two. She LOVED her job and really cared about the people. I waited and waited for a turnaround where the reporter (and her father) got publicly exposed for nepotism and abuse of power and the female politician earned back her dignity BUT it NEVER happened... and that completely pissed me off. Also, I feel like the writers dropped the ball on what really happened to her sister and brother in law. (continued in comments below)
