Reviews

Oh how I loved this show. The storyline was intriguing, smart & touching. LSG has come such a long way with his acting skills - he was tremendous as the king. Lost a star for the HORRENDOUS acting on the part of the English speakers in this show. I don't mind an accent from some random country completely nonrelated to the character - whatever. But to write that much English into your script & not be able to find a single English speaker that could recite a line normally - how is this even possible? The bad acting is way too irritating. If you want/need to use some white people on your show, that's cool. But do a better job of finding one that can deliver a line without an effeminate lisp - that US council guy was too bad for words. That being said, if you can overlook that, you'll probably still enjoy this show. It does have it's high points too.

Just plain awesome. I don't think there is a person that exists that won't like this one.

Once you get past the first couple background episodes, it's not that bad at all. It won't make you reevaluate your life, but if you watch it with the knowledge that it's just fluffy entertainment, I think you'll enjoy it. I personally liked that the writers embraced the concept of an actor getting famous solely because he's hot, not because he's a good actor. If you don't expect too much from it, it'll be an enjoyable ride.

If you don't try to search for too much under the surface & just take it as it is - a fluffy, light & happy cinderella story with some NICE eye candy - you'll enjoy it. Yes, it's predictable, but it's still a decent reworking of a pretty overused theme. Don't think too much and you'll have fun watching this one.

Just effin hilarious. My cheeks hurt each week from an hour & a half of non stop laughing...

This is light & fluffy at its best! No overly complicated manipulations... the characters are honest, innocent & sweet... The relationships here are healing instead of destructive. Honestly though, this is really just an opportunity to watch Kim Ji Hoon be the perfect boyfriend - crazy HOT & super sweet. I enjoyed this one a lot.

Excellent writing and acting in this unusual drama. Very different from the norm, but executed really well. It's not all sappy or fluffy so honestly I took my time watching this (I prefer the escape that comes with the happy fluffy). It felt like it was more about the situations than the characters themselves, but it was done with class and realism that will let you sneak a peek into the world of girls whose choices have real consequences.

It never made my heart flutter, but I thought it was well done for what it was, a drama about a family. The summary made it seem like it's just another romantic comedy, but it's not really. The romance is totally secondary to the main storyline of what happens when a mindless 25 year old girl suddenly finds herself in charge of her 5 younger siblings with no resources and not alot of help. The ending did have issues (most do) but it was still a very enjoyable show. If for no other reason, you should watch this show for the kids. They completely stole the show. The adults were the supporting actors here...

It's older but still good. LDW is a favorite of mine & I liked the storyline of all the characters. They took a subject that could've easily been overplayed but instead made it pretty believable. There's no continuous manipulations or misunderstandings or anybody being overly evil... even the "bad guys" aren't really all that bad and it's a nice change of pace to see characters that have real emotions & reactions to a senario that, while not likely, isn't impossible either. It's very well written & enjoyable. This is an excellent way to get you through the week waiting for the new episodes of whatever new shows you are watching.

This one didn't really grab me, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't well done. It was good to see Hyun Bin doing something other than the spoiled chaebol - he took this role & ran away with it. I think if I had perhaps seen this one earlier on in my kdrama list, it might have gotten to me more... I could see the way it would play out fairly early on because it follows "the formula" almost to the T. Very well executed & good for when you need something to hold you over until the new stuff is released, but for some reason I never felt any chemisty with the characters & therefore wasn't all that upset when it everything inevitably went south.

This was not the romantic comedy I was expecting. In fact, it's more of a slightly sci-fi romantic drama. There are quite a few funny scenes but they're just gravy. The meat here is an awesome, well crafted time travelling for an opportunity to change a regret story that completely had me hooked. Who wouldn't nab that chance? It seems a lot of people are frustrated with the numerous "almost but not quites" and repetitiveness of the corrections to Baek Ho's past but I think that the tactic worked - it's to show what one is willing to do for someone you really love. I was happy when they were, frustrated when they were, crying like mad when they were. This is a total gem. Excellent work from YSH & PHB - really liked their chemistry.

Nothing spectacular about this drama. It's got an OK storyline & the actors get the job done adequately - liked Grandpa the most - but it does show its age & the subtitles are subpar (sometimes non-exisitent) but it's still a decent way to pass the time waiting on all the new stuff to be released. It never made my heart race but it's not that bad either.

These kids are AMAZING actors! I haven't even gotten to the point where they are adults yet & I am so moved by this story. I'm having a hard time keeping the tears in (I'm at work so I'm trying to keep SOME semblance of working going on...) because everybody is just so good! This show is completely addicting! UPDATE: I just cannot believe how completely amazing that was. How on earth do they keep coming up with this stuff?? It was so colorful and the scenery was nice. The story was completely engrossing. Everybody involved pulled off creating a beautiful piece of art that will move your heart, make you laugh & cry and walk away feeling like good CAN prevail. Give it a chance. You will be thoroughly entertained.

AWESOME!! At 30 episodes, it is a big time investment, but don't let that deter you - you'll hardly even notice because it's just so good. Amazing writing & really talented actors made a very compelling story come to life. I laughed, cried buckets, felt my heart swell with joy and heartbreak and LOVED every minute of it. From beginning to end, this story moved me many times and will stay with me for a long time. Kim Tak Gu FTW!

I was stoked to see Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye getting another chance to use the chemistry they had in You're Beautiful. But for what started out as a light hearted romcom, it went downhill with that ending. The separation and the reunion just didn't feel in continuity with the rest of their relationship. I see what they were aiming for & understand they lost some time due to PSH's accident, but it just felt like a hurry up and finish job. But overall, both JYH & PSH are nice to look at and it's still a decent show that kept me coming back for more episodes. UPDATE: I've discovered on reviewing that I like this show so much more if I just skip the last episode. Soundtrack is at least half good. The songs from the show they are performing in aren't all that, but JYH's stuff is on point - especially if you are a CNBlue fan.

I loved the characters in this drama, flaws included. The writing is so witty & clever with such a realistic foundation (although if Bae Sung Hyun was on my couch begging to sleep over so he could just hold onto me, I wouldn't have said no). It kept me clicking the next episode for "just a little bit more" until my eyes could barely stay open. Where it lost the 5th star was the ending. (Possible SPOILER) I like that In Young & Sung Soo were able to work out their issues, but I don't like how they wrote this couples conclusion with both people being presented with temptation & getting all flustered about it. It should've easy & cool to deal with these new people instead of heartpounding & chatty. They are right back to where they were of liking the comforts of home but also the attentions of other people. In Young & Sung Hyun's story was perfect, even though it was so sad to see it end. Overall, this little drama is a real treasure even if the mixed messages at the end kinda ruin it's perfection.

I had such low expectations for this drama thinking it would be just another silly teen show. Happily for me, it turned out to be such a wonderful story. All those singers/idols did a fantastic job bringing their characters to life. I loved every single one of those kids & was really pulling for them to get their time in the spotlight. I felt everything they did. I was just as torn between Jin Guk & Sam Dong as Hye Mi was. While I liked all the different relationships between the 6, the Pil Suk & Jason storyline was probably my favorite & had such cute potential, so I wish they could've had a few more scenes with IU & WooYoung. The ending was also a tad disappointing in line with most other kdramas, but these things are just like tiny scratches that you can barely see on a beautiful car. This will be one of those shows like Coffee Prince & Playful Kiss that I can watch over & over again and never get tired of it. Don't let the teenage image fool you, you will not regret watching this drama!

talic2011 got the phrase just right - emotional torture. That was an intense ride with Lee Dong Wook and Oh Yun Soo. They were both so amazing. It does start off a little slow because there's so much background you need to see to understand the beginning (which I forgot about until I got closer to the end and realized with tears in my eyes what was coming.) It's most assuredly not going to leave you feeling warm & fuzzy when it's done. It also took me awhile to watch because you just can't marathon this one, it's too tramatic for anything more than a little at a time. However, it is so beautifully well done - it's a masterpiece that moves your soul and you will be missing out should you pass this one up.

I had high expectations for this. The storyline seemed unique and I liked that it was based on a true story. The only thing that seems to be true here is that at some point a guy opened up a store in Seoul. The evil ahjumma had too much storyline devoted to her. The characters never clicked with me. I did start to become attached to Chan Sol & then they sent him away for most of the latter part of the show. It had such potential and then just went downhill. I did watch the whole show and the ending was so-so so I coughed up that third star, but your life won't be any worse if you skip this one.

This was such a well told story. It's optimistic without being too sugary and the characters are warm & realistic. The mystery that unfolds is done at a good pace and the messages are true without preaching. This story is just like the food you see throughout the drama - beautiful, well balanced, nutritious and oh so tasty. The ONLY thing that bugged me was SIK's 5 o'clock shadow mustache thing he was sporting. It was OK for when he was a gangster, but I was really hoping he'd shave that thing at some point. He would've been so much hotter without it, imo. Congrats Kimchi Family - very good job by all involved!

I started this purely for Lee Dong Wook. I may not be *stalker* crazy but I'm a little obessed with Park Mu Yeol myself. Dreamy... I didn't even realize until the 14th episode that Lee Si Young is the same girl from Playful Kiss. Talk about a 180! Her comedic skills are on point and I have to say so were her fight scenes - they were believable and well executed. They did a good job with cliffhangers - it was hard to wait for the new episodes each week. I almost gave it 5 stars, but I feel like they should've picked someone else to play Jong Hee & the number of suspects got out of hand. I think that took away from what could've been a deeper exploration of the stalker. It's kind of like they made a really good cup of tea that only needs a little honey except they put in a 1/4 cup of sugar. It was just a little overkill. That said - it's still a very enjoyable ride that has the potential to keep you up late as you keep clicking to see what happens next.

Good storyline & concept - a guy who seriously can't catch a break in life reunites with his first love from high school & he starts trying to win her back. He's a stand up guy that has had some unlucky moments that (of course) alter his future, but he still tries to do the right thing. I enjoy the work of both Rain & Gong Hyo Jin and they weren't disappointing here, but it seemed like the timing of the show was off. The middle episodes drag the story out like they didn't know what else to do (How many times did they leave her waiting somewhere?) and then they threw in so many twists at the end, it was like they had a bet at how many they could cram in there. However, because of this, I feel like I didn't get the info I really wanted. They should've shown the path to happiness instead of just playing the happily ever after card when time was up. Overall, it is a good show, the ending just left something to be desired.

Only 2 minutes into this thing & I'm already completely in LOVE!! There's no need to break down anything in this show. Everything about it is above and beyond. It's the best thing I've ever seen - Korean or otherwise. Just completely awesome!! UPDATE - Just heard that Sungkyunkwan Scandal is nominated for an award in NYC for best mini-series (or something similar). FTW!! Fighting!

This was the 3rd drama I ever watched & I really liked it the first time around, but my appreciation was a little dampened by my awareness of my growing obsesssion for the Korean dramas. Was it really good or am I just so in love that everything looks good? How can every show be SO GOOD?? But on second viewing, the doubt is gone - it IS really that good. That cool charisma that LSG has is so attractive so it's easy to fall for Chef. And that voice - I could listen to him read IRS regulations & be completely enthralled. It's entirely believable that this kitchen could exist & the characters are likable even when they were moody & fighting because there's nothing over the top. But be warned, people are not exaggerating when they say that while watching this drama, you will get hungry. It all looks so tasty!

Masterfully executed! That's some seriously good writing, acting, scenery & music... I have not one single complaint about this show. I do however have a prediction: Choi Tae Joon (Jung) will - barring any scandals or something - be a top star very soon. That young man has some serious talent & in a few more years when he sheds the babyface, is going to be seriously hot. Some things in life are unavoidable & PP should be one of them. It's good for your soul.

I absolutely adored this show! To think it sat in my queue for so long (6 months it sat there!) when I should know better that anything written by the Hong sisters is going to be amazing. I have discovered that I really like the dramas I've seen with a supernatural twist (49 Days, Secret Garden, Padam Padam, etc.) but this one is up at the top of the list for me. Shin Min Ah really impressed me. She really accomplished cute & naive without going overboard - not everybody can do that. Lee Seung Gi was adorable and matched so well with SMA. MGIAG is remarkably funny and the perfect amount of sweet. I liked it so so so so so so so very much!

Omo! What a story... Rain is just too hot for words and seriously, how much talent does one guy really need? Rain was Kang Bokgu - all dark & intense, super hot & serious. I LOVED the theme song with the strings and that bass solo.. It was interesting to see Lee Ki Woo so young looking - although his character would worked better with someone older & a little more smooth I think. He needed that confidence that comes with having power. As with quite a few Kdramas, the ending trys to hard to be profound, but instead just feels like a bit of rip off (really?? frozen??), but it still wasn't enough to take away from my overall love here. This is a solid showcase of Rain's skills - you'll be able to see exactly why he's becoming such a worldwide phenom as you watch each episode.

This was pretty enjoyable to watch. YSY grew on me after a while, but LJA's character was too much of a sourpuss. When you love someone, it's because they make you happy but how can you make someone else happy if you are always in a funk? That aside, the best part was that kiss in the middle of the restaurant - it was awesome and the reason for the 4 stars! Worth watching for that alone. Great chemistry between the leads.

Well written, unexpected goodness in this drama. I can't put my finger on why, but Kim Jung Eun always annoys me at first but then I grow to appreciate her as the shows progress - I guess that's just a testiment to her acting skills. I liked another of the Lovers series, Lovers in Paris, and this one stands up just as well. Music wasn't bad, but it wasn't very original either. The ending confused me - I can't understand Kang Jae's motivation for doing what he did to Mi Ju - why go through all that, when that's the last thing they needed? Aside from that, I still really enjoyed this drama. It's totally obvious why KJE & LSJ ended up dating later, their chemistry together was smoking!

Wow. I've said it before that the action genre is not really my cup of tea, but sometimes there are exceptions. IRIS most definately fits into this category. The action was a little too intense for me so it took me a long time to get through all 20 episodes, but the story & characters were so good that I was able to make it through to the end. Although when I finally came to the end scene, the only word that came to mind was "weak" BUT it was still really worth watching. Acting was on point (esp T.O.P. - who knew he could pull off evil so well?), the plot kept me coming back for more & the soundtrack has been stuck in my head for days, so overall - a winner - espcially if you are a bigger action fan than me (and most are). You can't go wrong with this one!

Had everything a Korean drama is supposed to... Quality eye candy, good overcoming evil, a love triangle (where it's so hard to pick between the two because one wants her, but the other NEEDS her), cliffhangers that keep you anxious for the next episode and a decent soundtrack that gets stuck in your head. All in all, it didn't change my life but I enjoyed the time spent watching.

Avoided this show for months because of the comparison to Bridget Jones Diary, but I'm glad I hopped on board eventually. Don't even know who decided that it's like BJD - because it's not - at all. It's MUCH better. I'm already a fan of Chun Jung Myung but now I'm a fan of Go Hyun Jung as well. She really impressed me. Soundtrack is awesome (btw - he must be pretty popular in SKorea because it seems like I hear Jason Mraz songs on just about every show. Good choice of JM song in this show!) It's nothing to write home about, but it is good. One fun note - in the first 3 episodes, you'll notice CJM is wearing a Pflugerville Piranhas tshirt. That's a small town just north of my city here in Texas, so that was a little crazy & fun to see.

Best 6 minutes watching a movie I've ever spent. So sweet & touching.

Not mindblowing by any means, but good light rom com that is sweetened by the fact that the lead couple really did get married recently after meeting on this drama. It's a feel good that takes that feeling all the way through without being overly cheesey or unbelievable. Worth queueing up!

AMAZING! I feel like I've just found a treasure. It took me a second to get through the first episode, but once I did - totally hooked! The soundtrack was mindblowingly good (love Sia!) and the characters were realistic and completely lovable. With the odd 12 but somehow 22 episodes & rough episode segues, it does feel like parts of the show are missing, but it's not so bad that you can't follow along. It just hurts because you want more & you feel a little ripped off... I can see why this show didn't do well ratings wise, but I feel grateful that it was made & available for me to see in my home. It must be love since I'm just thankful it exists!

Man, can that little mousey looking girl squeeze out the tears! She was the only thing that bugged me about this drama. Yeah, a lot of stuff happened to everybody leaving them all good reasons to cry, but it was a little overboard from SW. Sometimes, you can be shocked or angry without crying, you know? Other than that, it's a good story, if a little on the slow side, with great acting from MGY, CJM & LMS.

This drama is aimed at adults and not for those who only like the romcoms. It is full of heavy, heart wrenching complicated issues that are not easy to watch, just like in real life. I've witnessed Alzheimers twice now and the writers did a really good job with the details and the research was done thoroughly. What I really liked about this drama is that the caregivers struggles were shown instead of only focusing on the patient. It's really emotionally & physically HARD to be a caregiver & so often I think they are overlooked (if) when the subject of Alzheimers is discussed. They did a good job of showing how exhausting it is to be a caregiver. This one will clear out the tearducts - especially if you have any experience with this disease. It hits home.

This is crackin me up!! Love the Secret Garden reference in ep 7... I think about it & I start laughing again. :) Although, yes it's a bit childish, it's still good and it keeps making me laugh. Lovin it... UPDATE Aigoo, this show was a HOT mess! It was all over the place, cheesey & overacted... BUT - I enjoyed every minute of it! The eye candy was A+ and the story wasn't terribly deep or complicated so it made for an easy, light hearted, good time. I can't bring myself to remove it from my queue just yet... a rewatch is in order now that all the episodes have been released.

Decided to check this one out from a DF recommendation & I'm glad I did. It was cute & funny with some fun facts about bacteria thrown in. If it wasn't for the various hook ups from homemade aphrodisiac, black leather & french maid outfits, you could almost think this was a fun way to teach high schoolers about microbiology. Not going to change the world with this one, but it was a fun distraction. DISCLAIMER: It's hard to multitask with this one if you are dependant on the subtitles. It goes really quickly & there are a lot of times where the different bacteria are talking at the same time as the homosapiens so you have to focus or be OK with backing up more than a few times.

Pretty decent story. It felt a little flat but Hyun Bin & Song Hye Kyo did a good job. I have to say it was nice to see a couple just having a relationship that didn't have someone trying to break them up for a change. It is a slow one, but I still liked it in the end. This is a good show to watch while you're waiting for the next episode of whatever new show you are watching... :)

Not a sequel to Iljimae - it's two different shows where the lead character just happens to have the same name. SO GOOD! The scenery is beautiful, the characters are imaginative and unique & the storyline was very well done. And as if I didn't already love Jung Il Woo, this made him slide up my favorites chart to top 3 - even if he does look like a girl... :) He brought out some serious skills for this one. The only thing bugging me is that they didn't have him workout more. For someone who is supposed to be fighting constantly over the years, he should've been much more muscular. But I can let that slide because I loved it so much!

I thought this would be right up my alley as a fan of crime dramas, but it falls way short. I've only watched through episode 6, but I can't take it anymore. Yun Jung Hoon IS super hot & he plays Prosecutor Min very well, BUT... there's something missing here. I can buy the fact that Prosecutor Min is a vampire & that gives him a leg up on finding out what happened, but it feels like I'm being cheated. Perhaps because the episodes are short, they are just trying to cram too much stuff into a small space that I feel like they are skipping important pieces to the puzzle. I don't see any layers or mysteries that I want to know more about & honestly the repeating frames each time he drinks is getting old - change it up a bit. It just feels lazy and full of shortcuts. Maybe it'll work for you, but I'm moving on.

Excited to rewatch this on DramaFever! Watched for the 1st time somewhere else & I think the subtitle quality will be better this go around! If you are in any way hesitant to watch this... just let that thought go & get this bad boy lined up in your queue right now. Hyun Bin & Ha Ji Won are both smokin hot & deliver such great performances that you will be still watching this at 4am wondering how in the world the whole night disappeared. I laughed alot, I cried a little & I am definitely filing this away as a favorite.

Kept me interested but there wasn't alot of sizzle. The main characters were a little too innocent & giggly like teenagers. Ryu Jin played Mr. Ji so serious and heavy that I couldn't understand why Yoon Seo would dedicate her life & career to him or on the other side why he fell for So Young. It's like walking up on a fire expecting warmth but instead only seeing the flames. My eyes were seeing these secondary characters but I never really cared about any of them. I've never seen Daniel Choi in anything else, but he didn't really make an impression on me as the immaturity was over the top and not my cup of tea. Sweet but not my dream guy.

I haven't really liked anything I've seen with Kang Ji Hwan but I did like the job Lee Ji Ah did in Beethoven's Virus, so I gave this a shot. Concept was good. Execution not so much. I can understand the hot architect having to learn that looks aren't everything, but the girl who is convinced she's ugly but only wants a hot guy without even visiting a dentist first? Really?? And who is OK with someone you met yesterday telling you, "I might love you" after a one night stand? Creepy... I don't really know what they were going for here but I will admit So Jung & Tae Pung make a good couple simply because they are both NUTS.

I may be going against the grain on this one from all the negative reviews I've seen, but I love this one. Sure, it was frustrating to see them be so slow to get their crap together, but I think that's also the brilliance of it. Being young and stupid are ailments that affect us all, although some more than others... and that was a LOT of suffering just to get to a hug but there's just something about this drama that moved me. It solidifidied my affection for Kim Rae Won without a doubt. His ability to infuriate me was surprising, since it's only a TV show. KRW did an excellent job. Going to bed happy. :)

You know how a lot of the times when you finish a drama, you think, "Ah, they could of done this one in 10 episodes." That actually happened here & it feels like it was the right decision. It's a light and fun story & they kept the excess fluff to a minimum. I will also add how much I liked that it wasn't a easy choice for me as to who I wanted Song-yi to pick. Usually, I favor one character from the beginning but for this one, I was torn all the way til the end. I like the length & it was a cute storyline. Plus young Kim Rae Won was super hot - I'd have fallen for Hyun Sung in a heartbeat...

It's good enough... If it wasn't for Jung Ryeo Won, I probably would've given this drama 2 stars, but she brought it up a notch for me. Kim Rae Won is definitely nice to look at, but I never really felt any love from him for Bok-Shil. I liked what Ryeo Won did here to play both girls. It's subtle but there's a difference. The story is not bad per se, more that it was just felt flat. Maybe because I didn't like how Seung Hee treated Bok Shil - even when they were alone & without problems, I didn't get a falling in love vibe. I get that when he was mean to her it was in a playful way, but there has to be moments of nice too. I don't know. Whatever the case, I don't feel like I wasted my time, but this won't be on my re-watch list by any means.

I waited so long to watch this after hearing the REALLY bad sound quality on the first episode. It was recorded too loud so it's pretty distorted throughout - esp the music. As an audio professional, that was like nails on a chalkboard to me. However, the story was so unique, funny, intense and heartwarming that I can overlook that. What a great job by all involved! I, the one who rarely likes fight scenes, liked the fight scenes, even with the overexaggerated punch & kick sounds. This is one story that should be added to your list if you want to be a true Kdrama fan. Oh and super impressed with Lee Joon Ki. You know he couldn't have been feeling good the way he sounded in episodes 18 & 19 - I just wanted to give him some soup & a cold compress... but you wouldn't know it from the way he was acting. I didn't mind the ending so much. I'm walking away a happy camper from this one.

What an extraordinary film. I can't stop smiling thinking about what I just saw. :) Excellent story - if a little confusing at first - with superb performances by both Han Hyo Joo & Hero Jae Joong. All around, amazing work. Thanks to this movie, I'm going to bed feeling all warm & fuzzy tonight.

This was a good story. I agree with Jennjenn that YSH will always be Oska, but it was good to see him in a lead role. I wanted Hae Na & Butler Seo to end up together, but that's mostly because I wanted to see Tae Yoon & Eui Joo get together from the time they first saw each other at Hae Na's house. Even though they were focused on other people, I really liked their subtle chemistry throughout the series. I'm happy with the character development & the ending was satisfactory as well. Light & happy, it's well worth the time spent watching.

I loved this drama so much I raced through episodes 10-16 in one night. It's mostly because I just can't get enough of Lee Min Ho, but also because the storyline was really good & the cliffhangers were perfectly executed so that I couldn't stop loading the next episode. LOVED LOVED LOVED Sanggojae and if I ever win the lottery, I will build as close a replica of that house as I can. This one had me laughing pretty much throughout - the "misunderstandings" could've been easy to get wrong, but they managed to make potentially cheesy jokes actually pretty funny. I enjoyed it & will watch this again in the future - but again, it's mostly because I <3 LMH. :)

I enjoyed this drama quite a bit. I love Bae Yong Jun, so even though this show isn't current, I gave it a shot & I'm glad that I did. It's a slower paced story but still well told. There's some unitentionally funny stuff that added to my enjoyment. First of all, whoever made the subtitles for this show took some creative license on the translations (there was one line in English where Leo says he likes women with blue eyes & the subtitles said big boobs instead. awesome.) Then there's Director Kim's golf swing. Even if you don't know much about golf, it's hilarious the way he almost falls after every swing. Saw quite a few boom mics in multiple shots. Oh! And in an early club scene with Yoon Hee & her friend - they actually use 2 Live Crew's We Want Some Pussy as the song! For a genre that tends toward more conservative than not, that was unexpected. I liked the soundtrack though - some really good stuff was chosen. This drama shows its age, but it still holds up.

Not entirely sure why… on the surface the story is pretty Kdrama formulaic - guy & girl aren't a couple but extenuating circumstances force them to live together and as they try to keep their secret hilarity & romance ensues... nothing special, right? This one REALLY got to me. It had some pretty funny moments as well, but I found myself breathless when they held hands on vacation (so sweet and electric) & when Nan Hee & Hyung Tae kiss outside of the apartment, it actually made my heart flutter with the way he finally jumped in there to get it done already. The actors did a fine job - nobody really stood out & like I said, it’s another romcom that follows the formula (insert baseball theme, extra people for love triangles) without really standing out in a unique way - BUT I just totally loved this one. I can't really put my finger on what it is, but I loved it.

... by the director, writers, actors, anyone that did anything to make this wonderful drama did a fantastic job. What an excellent story. They took something with so much potential for the same old same old & made a beautiful work of art. A masterpiece. You might dehydrate a little with all the tears you'll shed watching this, but just keep something to drink near the tissues and you should be OK. :)

I liked this drama quite a bit. I wasn't sure it would be for me because I'm not normally an action fan (the fighting scenes are either too realistic for me or too cheesey with with the slow-mo and exaggerated SFX) but the storyline was well crafted with twists I did NOT see coming. Happy that Lee Min Ho was able to reclaim the title SUPERHOT from BOF. He really did a great job on this show. Park Min Young wasn't bad so much as not right for this part. She just wasn't very believable as a security agent for me. From the way she held herself to the way she held her gun, I just didn't buy it. PMY just doesn't have any natural strength - she seems more like the girl that needs protection instead of the one that can protect others. Lost a star for the weak ending & unresolved storylines. Overall though, the cliffhangers & revelations were pretty good and while I didn't consume this kdrama as quickly as I normally do, it still kept me intrigued & coming back for more LMH...

I may have to watch it again because it's been awhile & the details are scarce, but I do remember walking away from this one a happy camper. Lee Seung Gi took awhile for him to grow on me, but he eventually did. Its a good story and the characters are well developed and the growth they go through is believable.

I'm just breathless. This one is longer than most & will absolutely steal a large chunk of your life (more than likely in marathon form once you get to about episode 20 or so) but it is SO WORTH IT! Great acting, awesome story & ending. Sigh... I just don't have the room to say enough about this wonderful drama. To summarize - DO NOT SKIP THIS ONE!! The time investment will pay off.

I randomly stumbled across this show one day & thought "Ah, what the heck, I've got some time to kill..." Then I couldn't watch it fast enough. This is one show that cannot be missed if you consider yourself a fan of the Kdramas. UPDATE: Just watched again now that I understand a little more about Korean culture & I still love it. Maybe even a little bit more than I did before...

I think because this is supposed to be a romantic comedy that falls short of being romantic, people have been giving it the blah reviews. Lee Dong Gun is smoking hot with good acting chops & Kim Sun Ah delivers in everything else I've seen her and this was no exception. However, they spent a little too much time with the action portions and not enough time with the relationship. They are just barely starting to really date after they finish working so we never really got to see the bliss after the struggles. It's just implied. Overall though, its a pretty good show. BTW, the kiss at the alumni reunion was on point... yum. :)

A common theme in the kdramas is the cold hearted hot boy meets the happy no matter what cute girl. This is one of those. However, this one felt a little extreme at times with the way Baek Seung Jo treats Oh Ha Ni & the way she just takes it and still hangs on waiting for him to come around. It is a guilty pleasure, but a pleasure nonetheless. Love looking at Kim Hyun Joong so it was no problem watching all the episodes, but I do wish they could've given Oh Ha Ni a little more backbone. I liked her perserverance (and that that was one of the things that Seung Jo liked about her), but I think she could've been vulnerable without being such a doormat. At any rate, I may not be able to say exactly why, but I do love this drama. If you are so inclined, they made half a dozen or so mini episodes that follow up on BSJ & OHN. You can find them in YouTube.

I don't see what all the negative fuss is about. I like it, but I'm only on ep 9... Could still go wrong, but I'm a happy camper so far. Finished Update: Still don't understand all ya'll haters out there. You must be crazy.. I loved it! It made me smile and cry and ache then smile some more. The kiss in the alley while they are handcuffed... AMAZING!! The music was good, the actors were AWESOME and I got a believable ending that left me feeling good. Maybe I'm easy to please, but I thought it was very well done.

Really good story. Kim Bum is super hot & Park Jin Hee was so believable and loveable. Only reason it got less than 5 stars was the Jung Da Jung & Na Ban Suk storyline. Both of those characters were stupid & they bugged the hell out of me.

This one sat in my queue for a long time before I finally watched it. I was hestitant for some reason, but once I started, I couldn't stop until the end. Love me some F4, but what the hell was up with that perm?? LMH looked SO MUCH HOTTER when he showed up at school with his hair straightened. This show introduced me to Kim Hyun Joong & I'm forever grateful for that. Never really liked JanDi (or her stupid family), but the hot boys make up for it enough.

There's enough quality shows out there that you wouldn't miss anything if you skipped this one. It drug on & I just didn't like the characters at all. Especially the assistant. Nothing she did was cute or funny & I didn't feel any chemistry between her & the writer or the writer & the publisher.

I have watched this show multiple times - it's that good. It never gets old. Amazing & unique storyline. Totally loveable characters. You will fall in love with Gong Yoo & Lee Sun Gyun - they are so so so so HOT and completely what sweet dreams are made of. I guess it's because Gong Yoo is older than most of the typical kids working on dramas, but the kissing scenes are SO much better than anything else I've seen. I wanted to be the one inside that red shirt when Eun Chan wiggles her way into the door of Han Gyul's apartment that night. I could watch that scene a million times. NOT TO BE MISSED!!!

This was the first drama I've watched where I was cussing out loud at my computer screen. These people were maddening! Every character had an agenda & there was just too much selfishness masquerading as honor or doing the right thing. I didn't feel like there was really any character growth - it was more like "how many lies can be told & revealed over 20 episodes?" The only reason I gave it 3 stars was because Bae Yong Jun was good enough to make me want to see it through to the end but I finished feeling a little pissed off from all the unnecessary deception. PS - Even if you just skip to it - the house at the end is AMAZING & worth a look. I would love to see more of it.

Honestly, I totally laughed out loud when I saw this show stars a dude named Rain (makes him sound like a cheesy stripper.) BUT I completely get it now. Rain did such good job at portraying that irresistable mix of the man that takes control and the still immature guy that hasn't learned how to express his feelings that makes women the world over do stupid things. Couple that with Rain's good looks & adorable smile and you'll find yourself in love too. Remaining cast does a really good job bringing a quirky & fun story to life, but I think this kid Rain stole the show. I also really like how they managed to make the actual house a character. It is such an amazing home. I was also impressed at the actors ability to deliver good performances while ignoring all the bugs that the bright camera lights attracted in the background. (I wouldn't have been able to keep from squealing!) I've seen it a couple times now & I'm sure I'll watch it again because it makes me happy.

Seriously... Add this to your queue. It's unique & touching. So well done by all involved. This kdrama will have you hooked rather quickly. Loved the Scheduler - an original twist on a common theme.
