Classic show of its genre, some great obstacles overcome, but the last 2-3 episodes managed to kill the story, along with all the characters. Have a few spoiler complaints: Soo Ae...where to begin... the writers left too many openings for her to actually be able to be with a man of her choice but then left us hanging for no good reason, The "impossibility" of her relationships was very possible, seemed a thinly stretched love triangle plot. Why all the chase scenes where the pursuer is a foot away and then somehow they lose them? How do you lose a boat in the middle of open ocean? And then battles would cut off midway to a scene where the stooges report to their boss an outcome that contradicted how well/badly they actually were fighting. Where did the adopted daughter go? The complaints aren't many, just editing fixes that would have improved the flow. I really wanted Joong dal to die, he was worst character (but a good, funny actor). My favorites were definitely shopkeeper Yi and son
I like the main char, but in the 1st episode you have 3 women talking about their babies like they're trash they just want to get rid of. Babies are just inconveniences, and these women don't show any remorse thinking about killing babies, even over 20 weeks. I'm definitely for pro-choice, but not so you don't piss of your in-laws or for sheer convenience. Abortions are for medical necessity or extenuating circumstances. These are all successful, competent parents who take life too lightly, in my opinion. The down-syndrome animated baby face was just creepy. I've seen many babies, and none looked like that. And if anyone ever yelled like a crazy person in a real surgery, he's so fired! How unprofessional how they panic and also how they talk to the media about patients. However, on the plus side, the show is messy just like real life and the special effects for the surgery are great. I'm gonna give the next few episodes a shot, but if they're anything like this one, I may have to try another show.
