So thankful this drama didn't win any awards or even an acknowledgement at the Awards ceremony. For everyone who thought they were a beautiful couple, it was nice to see out of the 4 couples that won for best SBS drama couples--these two were not even mentioned. I stated it before and will state again, you can't try to make something beautiful that has risen out of some bad and built on other people's pain. This drama sends the wrong message and it's nice to know that people weren't blinded just because they were fans of the actors, but realized it was an awful story. Never have I seen a drama where the bully wins over the good guy. I didn't feel any pity when she was diagnosed with cancer and it had spread.
The main male lead is getting on my nerves so bad that I'm struggling to stay with this drama--episode 4. It's very silly at times and the John character is an absolute joke--and not in a good way. Since this is a romantic comedy, maybe that's why it's so silly.
I had I expectation of this drama. I thought it would be another My Spring Days/Spring Day of my Life. I stop watching as of 3 or 4 (ep 7 or 8) episodes back. I was hoping the writer would reveal the relationship to see how they dealt with the emotional impact and how they would overcome it. I didn't expect him to keep seeing her sister every time he saw her initially. I didn't expect him to keep his identity a secret from her as he pursued a friendship turned romantic relationship with her. It would have been different if she was in the know, but she's not. The death of his girlfriend devastated him and left SN wondering who the love of his wife was to have this type of impact on him. Although, I assume, he no longer sees his girlfriend in SN, then why is he so nervous of her finding out? Because he knows he's wrong and some people wouldn't consider dating their sister's boyfriend--especially one who they were with intimately. That is the part that makes it taboo to me.
