About to watch episode 6. I'm really enjoying this series so far, and I'm watching Heirs simultaneously. Between the two, I like the balance of lightheartedness and drama in this series than the melodrama of Heirs. Also, I smile whenever Eun Hye acts very similarly (although more femininely) to her tomboy character in Coffee Prince. They have the same free spiritedness. Also, I really enjoy her relationship with her brother, and he makes the scene for me when I see him.
It's like Coffee Prince and every other gender bending kdrama but with the slight twist of the supernatural. Episode 3 was straaaaange.
Yeah, this could have benefitted from better writing. This series is so disjointed, all the way from the beginning when it skipped a year to the end when another year is skipped. The ending felt rushed, even though the actual story line was super slow. The main story between GDR and KKJ crept at a snail's pace, although the secondary storylines were quite wonderfully funny. Aside from the main story, some plots introduced about certain secondary characters remained unresolved at the end, I.e. KKJ's uncle and the school supervisor both being in love with each of GDR's parents. The gym teacher and GDR's friend had a great story arc with a really cute theme song. I think I understand the end, but oh my gosh, it's still pretty WTF. Thank goodness for gong yoo's pretty face and chocolate abs, otherwise I'd have poked my eye out before episode 10!
