Some of the motion effects and fighting scenes were definitely overdone, but the characters came to life in a very moving way. I fell in love with Yong and his father, Bong Soon and her quirky ways. Although I expected, as per reviews, somewhat of a Hong Gil Dong, I can honestly say Iljimae is on it's own par :) The beginning is somewhat cheesy, but if you push through, you'll find yourself attached to the screen in every gripping, suspenseful moment. The soundtrack was well done as well. Wished Bong Sun and Iljimae would have at least scene each other at the end.
