Wow Han Youngsuk. you sure caused a hell lot of trouble for everyone in this drama. Such a kind girlish face but underneath it all was a sly and scheming woman. Honestly, it's not the best drama. I thought there were too many time skips but that allowed it to have more drama and therefore be more dramatic. There were some scenes that I thought were too long even though it was meant to draw out an emotional effect. The beginning was cute though. Really liked the young actor/actress for the main characters. I also really liked the family bond the male lead had with his family despite all the troubles they had to go through. Lastly, loved it when Cha Gangjin sang. It was lovely. Wow...I think I just talked my way into giving this drama another star. (originally 3 star)
I have a thing for melodramas and this one really has me going but I just can't believe that there can be people as callous as Jong Suk is. He has the personality of a psychopath. He has no remorse! I'm still watching this drama but so far, I'll give it props for the drama for now but everyone's selfishness is just so hard to bear. ****EDIT***** just finished the drama (yes I went crazy and finished it in two days). Jong Suk will forever need psychiatric help with his antisocial personality disorder. Seriously has no remorse. He only acts weak and needy when he's about to lose his luxury lifestyle. It's stupid...... I liked how Chae-Ryung proved herself in the end. They all stopped being selfish and helped each other out =D
This drama is so heart-wrenching. It is an adaption of a manhwa by the same name by a manhwaga named Wann. I first read the manhwa a year or two ago and had been stalling to watch the drama since. The manhwa was a tragedy and quite sad but the portrayal in this drama made me burst into tears. In the first few episodes, I was already crying. So much was going on even in the first episode. It was pulling my heart constantly. The most tearful episode for me was episode 12. I was literally crying a river of tears almost. A story about when guilt causes one to lose his will to continue on a path of glory, fate steers him back to his original course, granting him eventually forgiveness, some happiness, and a new will to continue his life be it good or bad. If you are skeptical about this drama, you should read the manhwa even if you aren't a manhwa reader. It'll introduce the storyline to you however, the storyline in the manhwa is different from the drama.
