Biography

Uee, who was born with the name Kim Yu Jin, is a Korean musician and actress. She was born on April 9, 1988 in Daegu, South Korea. Uee began her performance career in 2009. The year was a busy one for her, as she launched both her musical and acting careers. She debuted with the girl group After School that year. Uee also had large roles on three television shows in 2009. The shows included the very popular historical drama Queen Seondeok, the teen drama You’re Beautiful and a reality show, We Got Married.

In 2010, Uee made an appearance on the popular variety show Running Man. Then in 2011, Uee got the starring role on the television show Birdie Buddy, which centers around a golf coach and his two students. She also began co-hosting the show Music Bank. She continued appearing on the show and, in 2012, became the host.

In addition to hosting Music Bank, Uee is starring in two new television series in 2012. The shows are called Ojakgyo Family and Jeon Woo Chi. She also continues to perform with her band. To date, she has released two albums, one in Korean and one in Japanese, with the band.
