Biography

Yang Dong Geun is a Korean actor and musician. Born in South Korea, he attended Yong-In University, where he studied Theater. He began his performance career in 1996. That year he released his first hip-hop song, called "Don’t Ask Me About the Past." He also acted in his first television show, Three Guys and Three Girls.

In 1998, Yang Dong Geun appeared in his first film, which was called The Best. He then went on to appear in another television show and four more movies. In 2001, he appeared on the second season of the popular show Nonstop. In 2002 he starred in his first television show called Ruler of Your Own World. He played a troubled young man in the drama, and fans raved about his performance.

In 2004, Yang Dong Geun starred in the movie Fighter in the Wind. This time, he played a young man who becomes a karate master. Again, fans loved his performance, and he gained the positive attention of critics. He followed up on this role by starring in the television series I Am Sam. Then, in 2010 he starred in the movie Grand Prix, a love story that centers around horse racing.
