Biography

Aejandra Borrero is a Columbian actress born in Popayán on April 25th, 1962. She moved to Cali when she was young and studied acting in the Universidad del Valle, where she became part of a group of actors and directors that were doing cinema in that city. Alejandra Borrero debuted in the movie Debajo de las estrellas, which also granted her the award for Best Actress in the Festival de Cine de Bogotá. Later on she partook in small dramatic roles like in Cuentos del domingo and in 1991, she landed her firs role as protagonist in the telenovela Azúcar.

Alejandra Borrero became well-known internationally for her role of antagonist in the telenovela Café con aroma de mujer Later on she participated in Esta boca es Mía, a TV show that interviewed famous people, among them were Celia Cruz and José Feliciano. Alejandra Borrero also participated in telenovelas in the United States like Me muero por ti and Vale Todo. In August 15th, 2008, she opened a school of performing arts, musicals, and art called Casa Esamble.
