Biography

Diana Bracho was born on December 12, 1944 in Mexico City. Actor and director Julio Bracho and Mexican actress and dancer Diana Bordes’ daughter, she comes from a family with strong artistic ties. The first soap opera lead roles she played came in 1973’s Mi primer amor and Los miserables. Since then, she has enjoyed an extensive career, participating in 19 other soap operas and countless movies.

Diana Bracho’s prodigal career has earned her widespread recognition, as she has won top prizes in the Premios TVyNovelas, twice as best antagonist actress for her performances in Capricho in 1994 and for her participation in Fuego en la sangre in 2009, as well as another two times as best protagonist actress for her roles in Cuna de lobos and Cadenas de amargura. In all, she’s won four times out of the six times she’s been nominated.
