Profile

Chen Bo Lin is a Taiwanese actor, singer, and model who has starred in movies and TV dramas in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan and mainland China. He began his career as a model when he was a teenager and debuted in 1999 in a TV drama, Robbers and Angels. At the age of 19, he became the male lead in his film debut in Blue Gate Crossing (2002) which was well received internationally and won Best Asian Film at the Hong Kong Film Awards.

His career took off and he was invited to make movies produced in Hong Kong, Japan and China such as Twins Effect 2: Blade of the Roses (2004), A Chinese Tall Story (2005), Kung Fu Dunk (2007), Give Love (2008), Buddha Mountain (2011), CZ12 (2012) and Machi Action (2013).

His role as the kind and steadfastly loving Li Da Ren in the extremely popular romance-drama series, In Time With You (2010), won the heart and admiration of many female viewers throughout Taiwan and beyond. The theme song he composed and performed also became a best seller. He admitted he took on the role because he had not been back to Taiwan for a while and he missed his family and relatives. His performance won him Best Leading Actor in a Television Series at the Golden Bell Awards.

Because his career has taken him to different countries, he would challenge himself to learn the local language. As a result, he speaks Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, and English fluently.
