Days

DAYS takes a look at the lives of six 20-year-olds struggling to maintain their dreams in a society that has already classified and ranked them. TOKIO band member, Tomoya Nagase, stars in this one, and it is a role that he has played equally well before in the dramas Hakusen Nagashi and Fuzoroi no Ringo-tachi IV. Again, he is the alienated but sincere, inherently honest young man trying to overcome a background that has given him few advantages beyond his own inner strength. This drama also takes a few swipes at baby boomers quick to criticize their offspring such as the scene where Nagase stops to help a mugging victim, a drunk in his 40s who quickly accuses Nagase of the crime and the police believe the drunk rather than the very sober 20-year-old.
