A drama portrays the life of Murakami Nobuo, former head chef at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo who died in 2005. In 1939, Murakami started to work at the hotel as a cook. Fifteen years later, he went to Paris to be trained at a hotel. Returning to Japan, Murakami played a significant role in introducing the French cuisine to the Japanese people by appearing in a TV cooking show. During the Tokyo Olympics in 1964, he took charge of serving meals for the athletes from all around the globe.
