Kaijoken Musashi (介助犬ムサシ)

Based on a true story, this drama follows Itakura Kumiko, a bright young girl who loves music. After strangely collapsing one day, she is diagnosed with a debilitating disease that will eventually prevent her from walking. Her parents hide the fact from her and she enters middle school none the wiser. But when Kumiko’s condition rapidly worsens and she finds out about her condition, her world begins to crumble. Confined to a wheelchair and slowly losing the ability to play her clarinet, she endures the glares of fellow students and their parents who see her as a burden on their children's education. She finally breaks down when her wheelchair is involved in an accident that injures other students. Unable to stand by watching as her daughter loses her dignity, Kumiko's mother suggests she try for a guide dog. (Source: Drama Wiki)
