Heart to Heart (하트 투 하트)

Choi Kang Hee (Protect the Boss, Level 7 Civil Servant) and Chun Jung Myung (The Duo, Cinderella’s Sister) star in a romantic comedy that shows how we sometimes meet people who get so close to us that all our fears disappear. Cha Hong Do (Choi Kang Hee) has social phobia so severe, she blushes profusely whenever she sees someone. She does, however, have a vast sense of curiosity and learns whatever she can of the world from books and the Internet. One day, her grandmother, her only connection with the outside world, passes away. To keep herself alive, Cha Hong Do decides to do housework as a maid, but in a strange twist of fate, can only do so by pretending do be an elderly woman. Through fate, she comes across Ko Yi Suk (Chun Jung Myung), a handsome but egotistical psychiatrist who shut himself off from the world after his brother’s death and is now dealing with his unstable mother. What follows is a sweet and often hilarious trip of mistaken identity and the therapy of the heart that can only occur when it is touched by another heart. Can Cha Hong Do learn to conquer her fear and leave herself to both heal and be healed by her new connections to the outside world, or is this social phobia going to mean she remains the world’s youngest ahjumma?
Adding to the drama are Jang Doo Soo (Another Oh Hae Young and Heartless City alum Lee Jae Yoon), a detective who secretly has a deep-seated, one-sided love for Cha Hong Da, and Ko Se Ro (Former Wonder Girls member and Hellcats actress Ahn So Hee), Ko Yi Suk’s younger sister.

Heart to Heart is directed by Lee Yoon Jung, the unstoppable genius who goes from hit to hit and whose stellar resume includes fan favorites like Cheese in the Trap, Triple and Coffee Prince. The drama is written by Lee Jung Ah, a frequent collaborator of the director’s, who was also behind the writing for the aforementioned Coffee Prince and Triple. Heart to Heart debuted on January 9, 2015, airing every Friday and Saturday in the 8:30PM time slot on tvN. The drama ran for 16 episodes, with the finale airing on February 28, 2015.
