Biography

Iran Eory was born in Teheran, Iran on October 21st, 1938. At the age of 16 she won a beauty pageant in Monaco. Eory's first movie was El diablo toca flauta which was followed by several other films. She exceled more in the comedies like Esa pícara pelirroja, El arte de no casarse and Los chicos con las chicas. In 1969 she arrived to Mexico to film the movie Rubi, which she interpret a beautiful woman that has no feelings. Throughout the 1960s she appeared in numerous titles with well-known Spanish filmmakers like Habitación 703 and Vuelve San Valentín to name a few.

Besides cinema, she also participated in different Spaniard TV series like Chicas en la ciudad (1961), Confidencias, and Historias de mi barrio. One that will specially be remembered is in Historia de la Frivoludad, in which she does a strip-tease for the satire of Chicho Ibáñez Serrador. She also ventured as a singer, releasing various records with recordings containing romantic and Spanish styles of music. In her last years, she appeared almost exclusively in the soap operas for the TV channel from Televisa where she was great success starring the soap operas like Mundo de juguete, Doménica Montero, and Principessa. She also acted in other successful soap operas like María la del barrio, acting along with Thalía, and La usurpadora (1998). Iran died in Mach 10th, 2002 from a cerebral hemorrhage.
