Kim Ba Wool had it figured it out in Flower Boy Ramen Shop that sometimes the best dinner company when you're feeling lonely is actually not human. For those of us loners who also want to eat out but are afraid to eat alone, this Moomin-themed cafe in Japan is exactly what we need!

First there was the ramen bowl specially made for one, and now there is an entire cafe made for loners who like to eat out. At Japan’s Moomin Café, diners who come in alone don't sit lonely for long. The café quickly pairs them with a Moomin character stuffed animal to keep them company.

The cafe, inspired by the Finnish-Japanese cartoon series about hippo-like friendly creatures, caters to Moomin fans by featuring food, drinks, and decor in the Moomin franchise theme.

A Twitter user named Haru visited the restaurant in Tokyo Dome City LaQua and reported about her delightful experience. She said that she entered the cafe alone and sat solo, but not for long. A staff member approached her and said that there was somebody who wanted to sit with her, if she didn't mind. Luckily for her, it was not some creeper, but was the lovable stuffed “Snork Maiden,” who is the girlfriend of Moomintroll in the series. “The waitress had such a big smile on her face, I couldn’t say no. But it was also so cute!” Haru admitted.

The cafe has carried on this tradition since 2003, and their PR representative stated, “Guests to Moominhouse are welcomed by the Moomin family.”

Sounds like a great idea to me, but I can't imagine many other restaurants where it wouldn't be strange to sit alone with a stuffed animal. Would you feel comfortable doing it? Comment below!
