Nam Joo Hyuk is an upcoming South Korean actor and model, well known for his roles in dramas like Cheese in the Trap, Idle Mermaid, Scarlet Heart: Ryeo, School 2015 and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo. Born in Busan, South Korea, the 23-year-old actor started his career as a model in 2014, before appearing in a music video for YG Entertainment's duo Akdong Musician. He got his big break with a supporting role in the Song Jae Rim-starrer Idle Mermaid. The 6"2' actor then went on to gain massive popularity with strong second-lead roles in dramas like Cheese in the Trap and Scarlet Heart: Ryeo. He finally scored the lead role in the record-breaking Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo alongside Lee Sung Kyung, who he is currently dating. Nam Joo Hyuk will be soon seen as the God of Water in the much anticipated drama The Bride of Habaek (Bride of the Water God) this summer.
