Set in a mysterious and slightly mystical martial arts school, Moorim School is already shaping up to be a high school drama unlike any other, but what makes it even more unique is its diverse cast made up of actors from around the world. Meet 5 of the international cast members of the hot new drama!
1. Samuel Okyere
Hailing from Ghana and born on April 21, 1991, Samuel Okyere made his way to South Korea when he was accepted into the Korean Government Scholarship Program in 2009 to study computer engineering. He loved Korea so much that he decided to stay and become fluent in Korean.
Once he decided to try to his hand at the entertainment industry, he was an instant success! You may have seen him most recently in the drama Jeju Island Gatsby.
He also appeared in variety shows including Real Men, Happy Together, Master Chef Korea: Season Three, Abnormal Summit, and SNL Korea. He has even modeled for Vogue and Marie Claire Korea!
On being a foreigner in Korea, Okyere said, "Korea has changed drastically over the last couple of years I've been here. Five years ago, there weren't so many foreigners who spoke Korean. But the number has grown rapidly over very little amount of time. Koreans are now very open to foreigners and they are more aware of the fact that a good number of foreigners speak Korean."
