It has been a busy week for McDonald's. First the massive fast food chain announced that it was offering Hello Kitty-themed dolls in Korea. And now McDonald's Japan is taking a turn at unveiling creative products with the release of a new crab burger.

The sandwich is a form of a croquette and contains mushrooms mixed with snow crab and topped with lettuce and tomato sauce, all served on Ciabatta. The sandwich which is being billed as a burger, is a unique take on traditional crab croquettes.

The sandwich looks like a mix between the McDonald's McChicken and their world famous hash browns. I think that this resemblance to their marquee products can only mean good things for the new crab burger.
