Park Shin Hye will star in movie Hyung with Jo Jung Suk and EXO's D.O
Park Shin Hye confirmed her role in the movie Hyung, according to her agency S.A.L.T. Entertainment yesterday. The agency said that Park Shin Hye is thrilled to work with great staff members and actors in Hyung.
"The (film's) story gives me hope and comfort," Park Shin Hye said. "I want to deliver to audiences the feelings I had while reading the script."
In film Hyung, Jo Jung Suk plays Doo Shik, a con artist older brother who is released from prison and visits his younger brother. D.O (Do Kyung Soo) of EXO plays Doo Young, the younger brother and a fallen Judo fighter. Park Shin Hye plays Soo Hyun, Doo Young's Judo coach, who bickers with his troublemaker older brother.
Hyung is a collaboration of director Kwon Soo Kyung of Barefoot Gi Bong and scriptwriter Yoo Young Ah of Miracle in Cell No. 7. Miracle in Cell No. 7 stars Park Shin Hye and was a commercial success in 2013.
The Hyung team started filming yesterday and are working with a plan to premiere the film next year.
Hyung is Park Shin Hye's latest film since Beauty Inside and The Royal Tailor.
