5 Photos of London Hospital actor Alfie Allen in fascinating productions
Singer Lily Allen's little brother, actor Alfie Allen, starred in the 2006 BBC medical drama London Hospital Series. He portrayed character Nobby Clark in the show about emergency room doctors and nurses aiding patients in England at the turn of the 20th Century. The series, which can be considered a classic foreign version of the long-running American NBC series ER, was a riveting production that lasted three seasons.
The 29-year-old star has been a part of several productions during his 17-year career. In this article, I highlighted just a few of his productions that have fascinated audiences.
1. The Other Boleyn Girl
He played The King's messenger in the romanticized retelling of King Henry VIII's marriage to Anne Boleyn and the alleged affair with mistress Mary Boleyn. The film may have been only loosely based on England's history, but millions were drawn to see it. It brought in $77 million.
2. Game of Thrones
An average of 7 million viewers tuned in to season 5 of the hit HBO series. Allen plays Theon Greyjoy in the controversial fantasy show surrounding the lives of nobles fighting for their throne. The global sensation has picked up numerous awards, including Golden Globes and Emmys.
He took on the role of Russian villian Iosef Tarasova in the 2008 action thriller movie. Millions saw the film about a man set on retaliation for the people who killed his puppy ( a gift from his beloved late wife). John Wick raked in around $79 million.
Allen became a family's handyman, Danny Hardman, in the 2007 box office hit. Audiences were entranced by the tale of two young lovers torn apart because of a vicious lie by the woman's jealous younger sister. It grossed over $129 million.
5. Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London
He took on an even smaller role as Berkhamp on Double Bass in the fun 2004 family movie. It was the sequel to the 2003 hit Agent Cody Banks. In the film, Banks is on a mission to recover stolen software that activates the government's mind control project. The movie made over $28 million.
