Room No. 9 premiered this week in all its fantasy glory! Stars Kim Hee Sun and Kim Hae Sook are amazing as soul swapping lawyer Eulji Hae Yi and inmate Jang Hwa Sa. Kim Young Kwang's seemingly innocent character, Doctor Ki Yoo Jin, appears to be caught right in the middle. Despite the series being a thrilling fantasy, there is an air of realism in it.

Let's take a look at 6 times Room No. 9 mirrored real life.

1. Creepy dreams about the future

When problems weight heavy on our minds, we all tend to be haunted by them in our dreams. Eulji Hae Yi was so worried about her upcoming confrontation with inmate Jang Hwa Sa that she had a nightmare about Hwa Sa doing something terrible to her boyfriend. Viewers will have to keep watching the series religiously to see if her dream comes true or not.

2. Desire to succeed

Despite Hae Yi's snobby perfectionist attitude, there is a tiny bit of Hae Yi in everybody. She's desperate to get a big promotion at work and live the perfect life with her wonderful boyfriend. Who doesn't want the fairy tale ending in real life? Her method of doing dirty deeds to succeed needs some reforming.

3. Heartbreaking family secret

Ki Yoo Jin's deceased father left him with two large voids in his life. He lost his father at a young age, and he never knew who his mother was. After receiving a suspicious package in the mail, Yoo Jin's desperation in finding his birth mother returns. Some family secrets may not be as large as this one, but there is always someone's indiscretion that leaves voids in other's lives. Everyone wants their family to be picture perfect, but the reality is flaws and skeletons in the closet.

4. Wrongful conviction

There is speculation that Jang Hwa Sa is serving time for a crime she didn't even commit! Hwa Sa knows she was framed for murder and wrongfully facing the death penalty. Periodically, the news reports on innocent people serving lengthy prison sentences. Their stories are unfathomable and heartbreaking all at the same time.

5. Medical treatment following electrocution

After the lawyer and inmate were accidentally electrocuted, everyone made sure they got the proper medical attention they needed. Many people would do the same if they received an electric shock in real life. However, the soul swapping probably won't happen in reality.

6. Binge eating moods

Hwa Sa started binge eating shortly after swapping bodies with Hae Yi. It was the first time in over 30 years that she didn't have to consume prison food. In real life, the holidays are the best time to enjoy large hearty meals. Of course, Thanksgiving is on the top of holiday eating list!

Did you find any more times the series resembled reality?
