Tokyo restaurant refuses to serve couples on Christmas Eve so single people won't feel lonely
One of the worst parts about being single is that people like to remind you of it. So that's why I think it's pretty cool/hilarious that a restaurant in Tokyo is refusing couples on Christmas Eve so single people won't feel lonely.
The restaurant is a diner called PiaPia, and it's located in Hachioji in Tokyo. Astute netizen Nmura-mka posted the image of the sign on Twitter, which is translated to say, "As it would cause severe emotional trauma to our staff members, we will be denying entry to all couples on December 24 with no exceptions!”
I love that this restaurant cares about their employees this much. The sign has actually gotten some really good responses online with one commenter even suggesting that they should ban couples in all restaurants on Christmas Eve.
