Korean dramas are filled with romantic scenes filmed under beautifully blossoming cherry trees. With the Yeouido Spring Flower Festival currently underway just outside Korea's National Assembly, it's no wonder that dramas like Sly and Single Again take advantage of the beautiful blooms to set the mood for blossoming love. For those of us who love the fragile blossoms but aren't fortunate enough to live near a major cherry blossom festival, here are a few easy ideas for throwing a cherry blossom-themed party for you and your friends!

Cherry blossoms, called sakura due to their cultural importance in Japan, often represent the delicacy and fragility of life. From Tokyo to Washington, D.C. (or even this cherry tree from space!), the cherry blossom is the quintessential spring flower. This week marks the end of the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C., a tradition that has lasted for over a hundred years, ever since Japan sent 3,000 cherry trees to the United States as a gift in 1912.

Lie to Me, A Gentleman's Dignity, Prosecutor Princess, and Sly and Single Again are just a few of the many dramas that include a stroll under the cherry blossoms. If you can't go there, bring the blossoms to you!
