3. Strong Woman Do Bong SoonPark Hyung Sik (former member of ZE:A)

Park Hyung Sik may have gotten his start in the entertainment industry as a member of ZE:A, but, save for the occasional singing of a drama OST, it’s looking like he may leave his idol days behind him. The group’s contract expired with Star Empire, as of January, and while not officially announced, it’s lead many to the conclusion that the group has disbanded. His acting career has flourished with roles in Heirs and Nine: Nine Time Travels. Currently, he is starring in the fresh and witty rom-com Strong Woman Do Bong Soon as Ahn Min Hyuk, the CEO of AinSoft. Hilarity ensues when he hires petite, and seemingly weak, Do Bong Soon as his bodyguard.

In addition to giving viewers lots of tears, Scarlet Heart: Ryeo also boasted a cast filled with talented singers. The leading female character who time travels back into the Goryeo Dynasty, Hae Soo, is played by IU, who is credited in the drama by her real name, Lee Ji Eun. EXO’s BaekHyun plays the spirited tenth prince, Wang Eun. Girls’ Generation SeoHyun uses her real life dance skills to artfully portray princess Woo Hee. Last, but not least, the show includes solo artist Z. Hera who plays Park Soon Duk, a lady who is greatly skilled in fighting and, as fate or K-dramaland would have it, in love with the not-so-skilled but playful tenth prince.

Chanyeol’s character stats in Missing 9 isn’t too big of a departure from his real life. In the show, he acts as Lee Yeol, the youngest member of the fictional 3-member idol group Dreamers. 7. The K2Yoona (Girls’ Generation)

Yoona has had a fruitful entertainment career both as an actress and member of Girls’ Generation. Like many acting-idols, she faces harsher acting criticism due to her K-pop roots.
