K-pop is slick, from the catchy beats, to the cool visuals. Stars are usually dressed in the hottest threads, from streetwear brands like Supreme and Stussy, to high-end brands like Dior and Gucci. Whether they are on-stage or off-stage, they always look good. Some of them can rock the historical threads just as equally well! In no particular order, here are 10 male actor-dols (actors who are also idols) who show they look great in any time period.
1. Xiumin (EXO) – Seondal: The Man Who Sells the River
Xiumin, the baby-faced oldest member of EXO, makes his movie debut in the upcoming historical comedy Seondal: The Man Who Sells the River. In the film, out in July, the actor plays Gyeon, who is part of a team of swindlers led by Yoo Seung Ho (Remember).

SHINee’s Min Ho portrays the chivalrous Suho in the upcoming drama Hwarang: The Beginning, scheduled to air this winter. Later on this year, he will also be in another historical production, a film called Marital Harmony.

TVXQ’s leader, Yun Ho, appeared in his first historical drama in 2014 with The Night Watchman’s Journal. He acted as Moo Seok, a stoic, loyal, and skilled night watchman, co-starring alongside Jung Il-Woo.

BTS’ V is making his acting debut with the historical youth drama Hwarang: The Beginning. His character, Hansung, is the youngest member of the elite group of men. He’ll be credited in the drama under his real name, Kim Tae Hyung.

Seul Ong looked almost unrecognizable in his period transformation for KBS’ The Fugitive of Joseon. In his first historical-era role, he played crown prince Lee Ho, who later becomes King In Jong.
