It is a beautiful reflection of the diverse world we live in. There are a number of actors, models, and musicians from Korean descent, some of them commonly known, and some you may be unfamiliar with. Here are 10 different mixed race celebrities with Korean ancestry.
1. Kiko Mizuhara
Japan’s “it” girl, Kiko Mizuhara, does it all! She is a model, actress, designer, and singer. Mizuhara has American and Korean roots.

The Wisconsin-born actor is currently best known for his work as Agus, an American soldier gone rogue in Descendants of the Sun. Previous credits include his work in: Iris, Iris 2, and Gu Family Book. He is part Korean, German, and Irish.

3. Chanel Iman
Chanel Iman is an American model, best recognized for her work as a Victoria’s Secret angel. Iman’s father is African American and her mother is half-Korean and half-African American.

Japanese actor, Shota Matsuda, is a quarter Korean from his father’s side. Matsuda’s best known work includes Liar Game and Hana Yori Dango (the Japanese version of Boys Over Flowers).

5. Karen O
Karen O, real name Karen Lee Orzolek, is a talented, versatile vocalist, best known as the front woman for the rock band Yeah Yeah Yeahs. She was born in Busan, South Korea, and grew up in New Jersey. Her mother is Korean and her father is Polish.

Miyavi is a rock musician who stands out for his style of playing the guitar in a finger-slapping method. While his career is primarily dedicated to his music, in 2013, he made his professional acting debut as the brutal sergeant, “The Bird,” in the Angelina Jolie-directed movie, Unbroken. Takamasa Ishihara (his real name) is Japanese and Korean.

7. Yoon Mirae
Texas-born, Yoon Mirae, is as talented a rapper as she is a singer. She is a member of MFBTY, a group that includes her husband Tiger JK. Her mother is South Korean, and her father is African-American.

Most recently, Daniel Henney has been acting in the American CBS drama “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders”, a spin-off from the TV series “Criminal Minds”. K-drama fans know him for his breakout supporting role in My Lovely Sam Soon, his follow up role in Spring Waltz, and as an all-around heartthrob. He is part Korean and Irish American.

10. Julien Kang
Julien Kang is a French-Canadian-Korean actor and model. He is currently best known for his role playing Sulli’s older brother, Daniel Dawson, in To the Beautiful You and his work in the High Kick series: High Kick Through the Roof, and High Kick 3: The Revenge of the Short Legged.
