11 K-drama stars who should be cast as vampires
With Ahn Jae Hyun and Gu Hye Sun currently starring in Blood and webtoons Orange Marmalade and The Scholar Who Walks The Night slated for drama adaptions, it seems that 2015 is the year of the vampire. We are totally fine with this development and are here to offer even more encouragement! Here are 11 K-drama stars who would make very convincing vampires!
Okay, Jae Joong basically cast himself as a vampire/demon in the music video for his song "Mine." He was pretty convincing... and it leaves fans to wonder why he hasn't taken a vampire role before.
2. Han Ga In
Ga In is a master of role adaption. Just that fact alone leads me to believe that she would make a fantastic vampire.
3. Park Hae Jin
We have seen Hae Jin be strong, persistent, and powerful, as well as showing his vulnerable side when needed. He could make a perfect vampire, whether on the bad side or the good.
Chae Young's beauty and petite figure take me to images of her filling the role of a loyal vampire who turns bad after being betrayed.
Watch Ahn Jae Hyun's vampire role in Blood:
5. Lee Hyun Woo
Hyun Woo has always given off a boyish vibe because he is young, but his role as a spy in the action film Secretly, Greatly has opened up his image. He would make a great vampire because he can show both the fun, boyish side as well as the fierce maturity that the role could demand.
6. Song Hye Gyo
The actress's commanding presence and classic beauty could earn her a role as the female head of a coven.
7. No Min Woo
Min Woo's fondness for darker, diverse roles puts him in the perfect position to be cast as a rogue vampire who holds allegiance to no one.
8. Shin Min Ah
Min Ah has already been a successful gumiho in My Girlfriend is a Nine-Tailed Fox, but her beautiful looks and form would read as a strong female presence in the vampire world.
We have seen Joong Ki in playful roles as well as some very serious, dramatic roles. His versatility makes him a perfect candidate for a vampire role.
10. Shin Se Kyung
Se Kyung would not have made my list at first, but her quiet, demure roles strike me as something that could potentially be powerful. In the vampire world, it would be striking.
11. Choi Seung Hyun (T.O.P)
Tall stature, perfect hair, powerful aura. T.O.P is definitely vampire material...
I tried not to include actors who have already been vampire roles, which is why Kim Woo Bin (he was in Vampire Idol) is absent from my list. All of these men and ladies would make great night walkers! Are you watching Blood? Who are your favorite vampires from past K-dramas? Who do you think would make a great addition to the future K-drama vampire class? Let me know all of your thoughts below or tweet @Hallyu_Tanya!
