12 Throwback photos of Korean celebrities in their school uniforms
Don't you wish you went to school in Korea just so you could wear adorable school uniforms? We do. We vicariously live that dream watching actors in school uniforms in dramas. (See full list of those dramas) This time, we wanted to show you how our favorite celebrities looked in their school years and tell you a little bit about their old days. Take a look!
Soon after Jeon Ji Hyun's picture was printed in a fashion magazine Ecole in 1997, she filmed many TV commercials including one for Naver, the popular Korean search portal. At this point of her career she used her real name Wang Ji Hyun. Her debut drama Steal My Heart aired in 1998. And then the legendary romantic comedy My Sassy Girl came out in 2001 and put her in the Hallyu wave. At the age of 21, she was the youngest recipient of the Grand Bell best actress award in 2002 for her role in My Sassy Girl.
While in high school, Rain lost his mother because the family could not afford the hospital bill. JYP Entertainment's Park Jin Young later recalled he cast Rain because he could sense Rain's urgency. For example, Rain ate ramen noodles with milk as his regular meal and wore the same sweats for months because he was so broke. He debuted in 2002 with Bad Guy and rose to a Hallyu star after the romantic comedy Full House with Song Hye Gyo.
Directors, producers and fellow actors consistently name Ha Ji Won as someone they'd like to work with. She's known for her humble, hardworking, and considerate personality. She debuted in a 1996 drama as a senior in high school, and people started recognizing her in School 2 in 1999. She rose to a stardom with the 2003 historical drama Damo and the 2004 melodrama What Happened in Bali.
Park Shin Hye's childhood dream was to become a police officer. Lee Seung Hwan, the legendary 90s ballad singer, cast her into his entertainment company originally as a singer, but she debuted as an actress in the 2003 melodrama Stairway to Heaven as Choi Ji Woo's character's child version. Since then, she's been in numerous dramas like Flower Boy Next Door, Goong S, Heartstrings, Heirs, and Pinocchio.

Although he rose to a stardom as Goo Joon Pyo of Boys Over Flowers, Lee Min Ho started his career as a child actor. He looks more like his mother than father, and he says he enjoyed making food with his older sister and mother growing up. Lee Min Ho self-declared that he has a "sister complex," meaning he does anything she asks.
Fans of Lee Min Ho can see him next in his movie Gangnam Blues, which will be available for DramaFever Premium members on Apirl 18. Gangnam Blues is intended for mature audiences, and it contains adult content, drug use, graphic violence, nudity, profanity, and strong sexual content.
Suzy has wanted to become a singer since she was a child. She represented her city in a dance team and was cast by JYP Entertainment while auditioning for the 2009 Superstar K. She ended up not auditioning and after a year of training debuted as the youngest member of miss A in 2010. The four miss A members are known for their epic dance moves.

Lee Seung Gi's debut song "Because You're My Girl" was written by Psy. He was cast by the '90s ballad singer Lee Sun Hee. He became a national star on 2 Days 1 Night and since then filmed many dramas like Gu Family Book, King 2 Hearts, My Girlfriend is a Nine-Tailed Fox, and You Are All Surrounded.
Lee Min Jung studied acting in college and filmed movies and dramas as a lead. She started getting noticed for her role as Goo Joon Pyo's (Lee Min Ho) fiancee in the 2009 romantic comedy Boys Over Flowers. She is married to actor Lee Byung Hun and gave a birth to a baby boy on March 30, 2015.
High school student Song Hye Gyo received a grand award in the 1996 smart school uniform model competition, and soon after debuted in the 1998 Soonpoong Clinic, the godfather of Korean sitcoms. In her Soonpoong Clinic days, she was known as a cute, clumsy girl. She thwarted that personality with the 2000 melodrama Autumn In My Heart. Since then the Drama Queen has filmed All In, Hotelier, and Full House. She became drama scriptwriter No Hee Kyung's characters through The World That They Live In and That Winter, the Wind Blows. As of now her current public opinion is pretty negative with last year's tax evasion scandal.
Choi Ji Woo debuted with the 1997 First Love and rose to a stardom with the 2002 melodrama Winter Sonata. The drama's popularity in Japan gave her the nickname Jiwoo hime. The 2003 melodrama Stairway to Heaven was also a hit. After ten years of no commercially or critically successful dramas, she successfully transformed her melodrama heroine character into something new in Suspicious Housekeeper (2013).
11. 4Minute's Hyuna
Hyuna is a member of the K-pop girl group 4Minute, and the former member of the girl group Wonder Girls. She has many hit songs as a solo like "Bubble Pop," "Ice Cream," "Change," and "Red."
Long before Dream High (2011) and The Moon that Embraces the Sun (2012), Kim Soo Hyun built his acting career with numerous supporting roles. Growing up, he was severely introverted to the point his that worrying mother encouraged him to learn acting or oratory. So the high school freshman Kim Soo Hyun chose acting. The clever, mischievous elf Puck from Shakespeare's play A Midsummer Night's Dream was his very first role. He debuted in the 2007 sitcom Kimchi Cheese Smile.
